🎥 S.P.A.R.C. – Sharing Practice and Resources for Children

Mrs Bombardiere introduces our upcoming Parent Learning Walks, an opportunity for parents and carers to step inside our classrooms and see learning in action across K–6.

As part of our S.P.A.R.C. initiative, these Learning Walks provide a unique opportunity to observe how evidence-based practices come to life in our classrooms and gain practical ideas to support learning at home.

In this S.P.A.R.C. video, Taylah and Carter explain how Stage 3 students develop their understanding of Additive Relations through solving addition and subtraction problems using efficient strategies.

At St Therese, we use the CUBES Problem-Solving Strategy to help students make sense of word problems and select appropriate strategies:

🟡 Box the key words
🟠 Eliminate unnecessary information
🔴 Solve and show your work
