Year 3 had a wonderful day exploring Wattamolla National Park as part of our learning about the natural environment. Students enjoyed a nature walk where they were lucky enough to spot several whales along the coastline.
Throughout the day, they learned about native Australian flora and fauna, as well as the adaptations that help animals survive in their habitats. Using natural materials collected from the environment, students worked creatively to design their own national parks and invented unique animals with special adaptations. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience that combined science, creativity and an appreciation for the natural world.

Kindergarten and Year 2 students had a special visit from Officer Sinead as part of our PDH program, Keeping Us Safe. Through an engaging and age-appropriate discussion, the children learned about the importance of road safety, including how to stay safe near roads, use pedestrian crossings correctly, wear seatbelts, and be aware of their surroundings when travelling.

Officer Sinead encouraged students to participate in discussions and activities that reinforced safe behaviours both at school and in the community. This visit supported the learning taking place in our Keeping Us Safe program and helped students develop a greater understanding of how to make safe choices in everyday situations.

We thank Officer Sinead for taking the time to share these important safety messages with our students.
