ππ Celebrating Our Home Reading Superstars! ππ
Today, we had the pleasure of presenting Home Reading Certificates to some of our amazing students who have shown dedication, persistence and a love of reading at home. Congratulations to all of our certificate recipients! ππ
Reading every day is one of the most powerful ways to support learning. Regular reading helps students build vocabulary, improve comprehension, develop imagination and strengthen their confidence across all areas of learning.
We encourage all families to continue making reading a part of their daily routine. Whether it's reading independently, sharing a story together, or talking about a book, every page read helps build lifelong readers and learners.
Thank you to our families for your ongoing support of our Home Reading Program. Together, we are inspiring a love of reading and helping our students achieve success. β€οΈπ

π§ͺπ’ 1BC Gets All Mixed Up in Science! π’π§ͺ
Our Year 1 students in 1BC have been busy exploring Material Science as part of our All Mixed Up unit.
Today, students investigated what happens when different materials are combined and observed how substances can change when mixed together. Using their scientific observation skills, they carefully followed instructions, made predictions and recorded what they noticed as they created their very own slime!
The excitement was contagious as students discovered how liquids and solids can combine to form a completely new material with unique properties. There were plenty of smiles, stretches and squishes as our young scientists explored the texture and behaviour of their slime creations.
Well done, 1BC, on your curiosity, teamwork and scientific thinking! ππ¬

Today the SRC distributed board games to all classrooms after acting on student requests for more classroom activities. Thank you to our wonderful community for donating preloved games as well as all the gold coin donations for our dress-up day last term. Also thank you to Mrs Francis for matching the money raised to ensure we had a range of engaging and exciting games not only for wet weather but also to help build friendships, connections and social skills with a big dose of laughter and fun π€©.
