SAPS Community Hub:
Next Week is Refugee Week. Our Community Hub will come together to share stories of Refugee journeys which some of our Community members have made to seek freedom, to start a new life, and call Australia their home.
Here is how we will celebrate Refugee Week (see flyers attached):
Thursday 18th June:
Parents/Carers Excursion to the Nile School to view their 'Refugee Week Exhibition'
-Meet at St Albans Station at 10am, visit Victoria Market for lunch, view exhibition
-Return to school by 3pm
Friday 19th June:
Refugee Week Lunch Gathering 1-3pm in the Community Room
-Light lunch provided, Parents/Carers are also invited to bring a dish from your home country to share
-Share stories about our journeys to Australia. "Each story is unique. Each one is powerful. And together, they shape the Australia we all call home today" -https://www.refugeeweek.org.au/about-refugee-week/
We hope Parents/Carers can join us as we come together to learn more about Refugees in Australia (and in our school)
