🌟 Kindergarten Excursion to Coles 🌟
What an incredible day our Kindergarten children had on their excursion to Coles! 🛒✨
With excitement in the air, we waved goodbye to our friends at the centre and set off on our adventure. Along the way, we were lucky enough to spot a big fire truck 🚒, and of course, we couldn't resist giving the firefighters a huge wave as they drove by!
A massive thank you to Jaryd and the wonderful Coles team for making us feel so welcome. As soon as we arrived, each child received their very own Coles hat and badge, making them feel like part of the team as they began their special behind-the-scenes tour.
Our first stop was the bakery, where we watched the fascinating bread slicing machine in action. The children were then treated to some delicious biscuits that had been specially made for us – such a thoughtful surprise! 🍪💛
We continued our journey past the deli and even got a sneak peek behind the scenes into the large cool rooms where food is stored. There were lots of curious eyes taking in all the things that help keep a supermarket running.
One of the highlights was seeing the giant cardboard compactor at work! The children were amazed watching the machine squash cardboard before it was placed into the large recycling bin. ♻️
To make our visit even more engaging, Miss Shenae prepared individual checklists for each child. As we explored, the children eagerly searched for items around the store and proudly ticked them off when they found them. ✔️🔍
To finish off our wonderful excursion, the Coles team kindly gifted everyone an ice block before we said our goodbyes. 🍦
Experiences like these help children connect their learning to the real world, build confidence in their community, and create lasting memories. Thank you again to Jarryd and the entire Coles team for such a fun, educational, and memorable experience!

🎒🏫 Kindergarten Excursion to School! 🏫🎒
This week our Kindergarten children enjoyed an exciting excursion to the local school as part of our School Readiness Program.
A special thank you to Miss Shenae, who did an incredible job supporting our children as they explored their future learning environment and began building confidence for their transition to school next year. Her calm guidance and encouragement helped our little learners settle in and make the most of this wonderful experience.
During our visit, we shared a snack together, explored the school library, and enjoyed an adventure on the playground. The children were eager to discover new spaces, ask questions, and imagine themselves as school students.
On our walk back to the centre, we took a short break to sit together and enjoy a story before returning for lunch, giving us another opportunity to connect, reflect, and rest after our busy morning.
These experiences play an important role in helping children develop familiarity, confidence, and excitement about starting school. We are so proud of our Kindergarten children for embracing this new adventure with such enthusiasm and curiosity! 🌟

National Reconciliation Week began on the 27th May, and throughout our centre we have seen such heartfelt and beautiful moments of connection, reflection and learning. 🖤💛❤️
At Goodstart Pacific Paradise, reconciliation is something we hold close to our hearts. It is in the stories we share, the conversations we have with children, the respect we show for Country, and the meaningful ways we embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our everyday practices.
This week gives us the opportunity to pause, reflect and continue learning together, but our commitment to reconciliation extends far beyond these few days. Each and every day, we strive to create a space where culture is honoured, voices are respected, and children grow up with understanding, empathy and deep appreciation for the world’s oldest continuing cultures.
Watching our children engage so openly, curiously and respectfully reminds us how important this journey is. Reconciliation starts with all of us, and we are proud to walk alongside our children, families and community as we continue listening, learning and growing together. 🌿

Today at Goodstart Pacific Paradise, we recognised National Sorry Day with our Kindergarten children through meaningful conversations, storytelling, and exploration. 🖤💛❤️
National Sorry Day (May 26) is an important time to reflect on the history and impact of the Stolen Generations in an age-appropriate and meaningful way. Through thoughtful discussions and hands-on experiences, educators help little learners explore concepts of empathy, connection, understanding, and saying sorry, aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework.
Miss Shenae, our Kindergarten Teacher, shared the story “Stolen Girl” with the children to help bring awareness to the reality of the Stolen Generation. She created a calm, safe, and nurturing space where the children could openly discuss their thoughts and feelings.
The children asked thoughtful questions such as “But why?” and shared feelings like “That sounds scary,” showing empathy and curiosity as they learned about this important part of Australia’s history.
Following the story, the children explored Indigenous provocations and experiences, engaging with Indigenous symbols, culture, and sensory-based learning opportunities in a respectful and meaningful way.
We are proud of the compassion, understanding, and kindness our little learners showed today as we continue to foster inclusion, respect, and awareness within our centre community. 🖤💛❤️

🐢💚 World Turtle Day at Goodstart Pacific Paradise 💚🐢
Yesterday our little learners had a very special visitor! Miss Shannen brought in her beautiful turtle for the children to meet and learn about as we celebrated World Turtle Day.
The children were so excited to observe the turtle up close, ask questions, and learn about how we can care for and protect turtles and their environments.
Experiences like these help spark curiosity, respect for animals, and a love for nature. 🌏✨
Thank you, Miss Shannen, for sharing such a special part of your world with us today! 🐢💚

We have been diving into the world of colours through hands-on sensory play and science experiences. Using droppers, the children explored mixing colours, squeezing and transferring liquids, and watching exciting reactions happen right before their eyes! 🎨✨
These experiences help build fine motor skills, concentration, curiosity and early science understanding, all while having so much fun learning through play. 💧🔴🟡🔵
We love seeing the children’s excitement as they experiment, discover and create together! 💕

🌿 Recently, our children at Goodstart Pacific Paradise have dived into nature play and garden discoveries 🌿
Through a range of hands-on experiences and real-life learning opportunities, the children have been exploring, creating and connecting with the natural world around them. 🍃🥒
As part of our garden discoveries, we checked on the growth of our cucumbers and found some were finally ready to harvest! The children helped pick the larger cucumbers before washing them and enjoying the experience of cutting up their own pieces to eat. This meaningful experience encouraged healthy eating, independence and an understanding of where our food comes from. 💚
The children also enjoyed going on nature walks around the centre, each carrying their own collection bag to gather natural treasures along the way.
Nature play provides endless opportunities for children to care for the environment, use their senses, explore the world around them and develop a deeper appreciation for nature through play and discovery. 🌏💛
