After 8 incredible years of owning The Vocal Zone, it’s time for me to pass the baton on to someone very special.

My journey with this studio began long before I became the owner. I started as a student at the age of 15, before going on to teach here and eventually purchasing the studio from Tegan in 2018. Since then, it has been a whirlwind of unforgettable memories, amazing students, their families, incredible performances, navigating COVID, rebuilding from challenging times, and working alongside some wonderful teachers over the years.

The Vocal Zone has been such a huge part of my life, and making the decision to step away has not been easy. However, as life has changed and my focus has shifted towards my growing family, I knew I wanted to find someone who would continue to nurture the studio with the same passion and care.

When I first met Kayla she was a student, I quickly saw something special in her. Watching her grow into a teacher, I have been continually inspired by her dedication, work ethic, and genuine love for helping students develop not only their voices but also their confidence. She truly embodies everything The Vocal Zone stands for, and I couldn’t think of a better person to take the studio into its next chapter.

I am so excited to announce that Kayla will be the new owner of The Vocal Zone. I know she will continue to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students can thrive, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of music.

For all of our students and families, I’ll still be teaching up until term 4 this year, and I’m hopeful that I’ll be back teaching again sometime next year as well. This isn’t goodbye just a new chapter.

Thank you to every student, parent, teacher, and supporter who has been part of this journey over the last 8 years. The Vocal Zone has given me memories that I will cherish forever, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds under Kayla’s leadership.
