🌟💻 Leadership lessons and cyber-smart thinking!

This fortnight, Stage 3 students had the opportunity to learn from some inspiring special guests.

Representatives from the Woodville Alliance visited to share important messages about cyber safety, helping students understand how to stay safe, respectful and responsible online.

We also welcomed four student leaders from Condell Park High School, who spoke about what it takes to be an effective leader. They shared their experiences, challenges and advice, highlighting qualities such as responsibility, resilience, teamwork and leading by example.

If there was one lesson everyone agreed on, it's this: good leaders think before they act and good cyber citizens think before they click! 😉👏

📚🎨 Stage 3 have well & truly brought literature to life!

As part of our Shared Reading unit this term, students have explored how illustrators use visual techniques such as colour choice and symbolism to communicate emotions and ideas to viewers.

The results are thoughtful, creative and full of imagination. It turns out that a paintbrush can convey just as much as a pencil!

💡🔋 Stage 3 has been powering up in Science this term!

As part of their investigation into energy and materials relating to conductors and insulators - students have officially put their knowledge to the test by designing and building their own electrical circuits.

It’s safe to say that our classrooms were full of bright ideas and positive energy! 💛

CPPS has been fortunate to welcome both the Dental van and the Sight team over the past week (and the coming week), providing students with convenient access to important health services. These visits have supported student's oral health and vision care, helping to ensure they are ready to learn and thrive.
We sincerely thank the dedicated teams from both services for visiting our school and contributing to the health and wellbeing of our students.

Stage 2 Scientists & Storytellers in Action! 💧🎨

This term Stage 2 have been thinking like real scientists — observing, questioning, experimenting, discovering and sharing as they explore water filtration. Students are testing different materials to design the best filter for reducing turbidity, learning firsthand how science can solve real-world problems. We also explored biomimicry, looking at how nature filters water and created artwork inspired by these natural designs. Meanwhile, in our Settlement unit, students have been exploring the First Fleet's arrival through both Indigenous and British perspectives, bringing history to life through powerful artwork. We had so much learning and fun along the way! Big thinking from our Stage 2 crew! 🌏✨

Stage 1 have been busy strengthening their fine motor skills through Little Hands activities, building coordination, concentration and confidence… one tiny task at a time.

Playgroup runs on a Thursday morning from 9:00am until 10:45am. It is a great opportunity to meet local families and children aged 0-5 years. The cost of $2 per week covers resources. If you have any questions please contact the school.
