Struggling to get veggies off the plate and into the tummy? We use a few "Village Secrets" to turn tiny critics into veggie fans:

✔ The "Micro-Taste": Don't start with a giant pile of broccoli. Offer one tiny "tree" alongside a food they already love. Low stakes = low stress!
✔ Change the Texture: Sometimes it’s not the taste, it’s the feel. If they won't eat boiled carrots, try them roasted for crunch or grated into a pasta sauce.
✔ Food Art: We love making "veggie faces" or "forest scenes" on the plate. When food looks like a masterpiece, it’s much more fun to explore!

The Golden Rule: It can take 15+ tries before a child accepts a new flavour. Keep it light, keep it fun, and keep offering!

Recently, our little ones participated in National Road Safety Week with a series of fun, interactive, and vital practical lessons! Teaching road safety early gives children the confidence they need to navigate the world around them.

🛑 Stop, Look, Listen, and Think: Our preschoolers practiced holding hands and learning exactly how and where to cross the road safely.
🚴 Wheels in Motion: They then put their skills into action, practicing space awareness and stopping safely on our balance bikes, tricycles and bicycles!
🤍 A Culture of Care: Beyond the fun and fresh air, these intentional activities build coordination, spatial judgment, and a deep understanding of community safety.

Healthy habits start early in our family-owned village! Last week, before eating food, our 1-2 yr olds took part in a fun, hands-on lesson all about the importance of good hand hygiene.

Through interactive play, song and a lot of soapy bubbles, our educators guided the children through the correct steps to wash away germs.

💡 This is a lesson in empowering them to care for themselves and look after others (by keeping our hands clean).
