Behind this photo is a story worth knowing.
Many of our international students aren't just navigating a new country — they're doing so while carrying the weight of world events back home. Some have gone weeks without contact with family. Others are uncertain whether they'll even be able to return home once their studies are done.
Yet in the midst of all of that, they show up. They study. They work jobs within our community. And they contribute to the very place that's supporting them.
One RMC resident put it simply: "I couldn't be with my family back home, so RMC became my family."
Our Scholarship Fund is one of the things that makes this possible — helping students stay housed, connected, and supported when they need it most.
This End of Financial Year, your tax-deductible gift before June 30 can make a real difference to a student who is far from home and doing it tough.

Starting university in a new city can be isolating.
For Abi, a scholarship at RMC made a meaningful difference. It reduced the pressure to balance study with extensive work, allowing her to engage more fully in college life.
She was able to build relationships, contribute in considered ways, and grow in confidence.
Now, as RMC's 2026 President, she helps shape an environment in which others experience that same sense of connection and belonging.
This EOFY, give a gift towards our scholarship and support amazing humans like Abi. Donate today! https://rmc.org.au/supportamazinghumans/

Last week, we gathered for our Truth and Justice🖤💛❤️
Dinner as part of National Reconciliation Week.
It was a special evening of listening, learning, and reflecting together. We heard from a number of speakers who shared insights on truth-telling, reconciliation, and the importance of continuing to learn from Australia's history. We also had the privilege of hearing from students and seeing them contribute throughout the evening by serving, sharing, singing, and performing.
One of the highlights of the night was hearing students sing in an Aboriginal language and seeing culture, story, and community woven throughout the evening.
The dinner created space for meaningful conversations and reflection, reminding us of the value of listening to different stories and perspectives as we continue to learn together.
A big thank you to all our students, staff, speakers, guests, and volunteers who served, attended, and helped make the evening possible. It was a beautiful way to mark Reconciliation Week and a beautiful reminder that learning and listening don't stop when the week ends.
We are 🤝ALL IN FOR RECONCILIATION✨

✨A recap from our Sydney Supporters Dinner event!✨
Last Thursday we had the privilege of hosting our annual Sydney Supporters Dinner which is our way of saying thank you to the alumni, friends, and supporters of RMC who continue to support our community in so many ways, whether through prayer, generosity, encouragement, or simply journeying alongside us.
It was a special evening spent gathered around the table, sharing meals, conversation, and community, while reflecting on the impact that support continues to have on life at RMC.
We also had the opportunity to hear from Abi, one of our RMC residents and current Student President, as she shared how the support of scholarships and our wider community has shaped her experience at RMC and allowed her and other scholarship recipients to invest more fully into both her studies and college life.
Moments like these remind us that support reaches far beyond financial contribution, it creates opportunities, strengthens community, and continues to shape student journeys in meaningful ways.
To everyone who joined us and continues to support RMC, thank you. We are incredibly grateful.💙

Expanding horizons beyond Australia 🌏✨
This week, Robert Menzies College hosted a Widening Experience event, where staff and students shared insights into international study opportunities, scholarships, and academic pathways overseas.
Stefan Thottunkal, a current RMC resident and Medicine student at MQ, reflected on his 2025 opportunity to study a Masters of Public Health at both Stanford University and Harvard Health Systems Innovation Lab.
Assoc. Prof. Gordon Menzies also shared his academic journey completing his DPhil at Oxford University, while our Principal, Rev. Dr. Peter Davis, spoke about upcoming opportunities for overseas study and scholarships including the Ramsay Scholarship, Rhodes Trust Scholarship, Churchill Fellowship, Fulbright Program, and more.
A valuable evening of conversation, encouragement, and global perspective — reminding students that opportunities can truly take them anywhere. ✈️📚
