Today is the Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Jie), and our Mandarin team went above and beyond to bring the legends to life! 🐲 Our educators put on a spectacular, interactive theater show featuring a cast of characters who were all—you guessed it—different types of Zongzi from across China! 🥟
Thank you to our dedicated educators for their efforts, the children were absolutely captivated by the story!

Making and eating delicious Zongzi (sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves).
A fantastic sensory experience for our preschoolers! They practise their fine motor skills by helping to fold the leaves, and adding filling. Learning about culture through food is the perfect way to build global awareness and an appreciation for traditions that have been celebrated for centuries. 🌏❤️

Our pre-kindy children were curious asking about tomatoes - are they a fruit or a vegetable? 🍅 So we took the lesson into the kitchen !
We talked about the life cycle of a tomato plant, and saw all the different ways tomatoes can be used in our cooking. 🪴
🍕The result was some delicious mini pizzas and a whole lot of learning together.
