Most men start with the body: push, tense, strain. That's exactly why they top out.
Real power runs the other way. Spirit first β a calm, good-feeling intent. Then mind β sense and direction. Then the body simply follows. Seek the source first, and the physical takes care of itself.

OLD MASTERS HIT HARDER β and here's why it grows with age.
The young man trains muscle. Muscle isolates, tires, and fades.
The master trains structure β the whole skeleton moving as one unit. A small turn of the joint becomes a long lever. Nothing is forced, so nothing runs out.
That's why power doesn't decline with age. The body slows. The structure deepens. The source only grows.

THE CENTRE LINE β control the centre, control the fight.
Most fighters chase the hands. The master goes straight for the centre.
Find his centre and his balance is already yours. Take the centre and he has nowhere to go. Don't chase the attack β occupy the line and let him fall into it.
This is why a smaller man can stop a bigger one: he owns the centre, and the centre owns the fight.

5 SIGNS YOU'RE USING FORCE (NOT POWER).
Most martial artists confuse the two their entire lives. Here's how to catch yourself:
1. Your shoulders rise when you move. Even lifting a toothbrush β the body learns to repeat that wasted effort.
2. You push harder when it isn't working. That's the physical addiction. Real power releases instead.
3. Pressure makes your structure fold. If a push collapses you, you were holding with muscle, not sensing through the frame.
4. You tire fast in the exchange. Force burns fuel. Power is almost free β a small turn of the joint moved like a long lever.
5. You chase their centre instead of holding yours. Hunting to attack pulls you off balance. Staying centred makes you immovable.

SENSE, DON'T TENSE β why a centred body can't be moved.
Brace your arms and the pressure just slides to your belly. Guard your belly and it drops to your knees. Whatever you don't sense is where you collapse.
It's not strength that fails you. It's attention. The body breaks where your awareness isn't.
Sense the whole frame β and you absorb force into structure and send it to the ground. It's very hard to move a body that is centred.

FORCE vs POWER β the difference that decides everything after 40.
Most men train force: tension, effort, pushing harder. It feels strong in your 20s. By your 40s it tires you, tightens you, and slowly fades.
Masters train power: structure, sensing, internal alignment. It costs nothing to hold β and it deepens with age.
The harder you try, the weaker you get. Stop tensing. Start sensing. A centred body is almost impossible to move.
