Does my wedding need an 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 ? 👀

It’s a topic that’s come up quite a bit lately amongst both couples and vendors!

Our opinion on the matter?
𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘺…
If your styling priorities and budget are better invested elsewhere, and a welcome sign is simply another item on the wedding checklist, then no - an entrance moment isn’t essential.

BUT, if your goal is to create an immersive guest experience and tell a cohesive visual story from the moment guests arrive…
𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙚𝙨. 𝘼𝙗𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮.

The entrance to your wedding isn’t just where guests arrive. It’s your opportunity to introduce the visual story of the day, establish the atmosphere, and create that all-important first impression 🤌🏽

For Caitlin & Andrew’s wedding, the guest experience began long before the ceremony itself.

Guests arrived to a softly draped courtyard transformed into an ethereal white world, where champagne, floral sculptures and layers of white texture set the tone for what was to come.

Then came the reveal 🔥

Beyond the courtyard, a fabric-draped church entrance and dramatic lace-trimmed sign gave way to a dark, moody interior drenched in deep red tones.
A deliberate juxtaposition that made both spaces feel even more impactful.

Every design decision was carefully considered to capture the couple’s vision and elevate the guest experience from the moment they stepped out of their Uber.

When you engage us for our Elevated Boujee Experience, this is exactly what we mean by full-service wedding design.
〰️ Not individual styling moments.
〰️ Not a collection of pretty details.
〰️ But a thoughtfully curated visual journey where every space, transition and guest touchpoint works together to tell a cohesive story.

If that sounds like the kind of wedding experience you’re dreaming of, we’d love to hear from you! Enquire via the link in our bio.

This DIVINE ‘floral x cake x marble plinth’ combination needs a moment of appreciation 🤌🏽

The moment this beautiful mint green cake was placed upon this emerald marble plinth, I actually gasped at how perfectly they coordinated!

Whilst we didn’t design or organise the cake itself, the bride Kim shared the moodboard we curated and our vision for this floral installation with their baker as creative direction - and absolutely nailed the brief! 💅

It really was a perfect backdrop moment for their wedding reception party, and a perfect example of what happens when the couple, your florist & stylist, and fellow creative vendors are all aligned and working towards the same vision ✨

So as it turns out… chrysanthemums are actually ok 😏

I loved this sculptural design for Noriko & Victors wedding - and it wouldn’t have been the same without the humble chrysie working its magic here 🪄

I am admittedly biased towards some flower types more than others 😅 But as a florist, I think it’s important to constantly challenge your own preferences and creative comfort zones.

Just like gerberas, lilies, and other stereotypical “supermarket flowers” - sometimes it’s all about seeing them through a different lens. With the right palette, composition and context, even the most unlikely blooms can feel and look fresh, elevated and cool again 😎

This boujee community quietly slipped past 12k this week - HELLO and welcome to all the new faces around here! 👋🏽
So I figured it was time for a little reintroduction…

HI, I’m Jess - the face & force behind BOUJEEHAUS ⚡️
A Sydney-based design studio specialising in unconventional creative direction, styling + floral design for elevated weddings, bold brand events, intimate soirées and more.

Apart from my fabulous freelance team who assist with florals and production, I’m the one behind the concepts, proposals, flower recipes, emails, and all of the content that somehow led you here 🙃

Every project begins with a bespoke creative vision - drawing from the essence & story of each couple, client or brand, and transforming it into a cohesive, design-led experience. Our design language pulls inspiration from interiors, fashion, nature, contemporary and mid-century modern art + design movements.

Anyway… here’s 10 random weird facts about me 😌👇🏽
1. My favourite colour is any and every shade of GREEN (duh) 💚
2. Savoury over sweet always 🥒🍸
3. I’m also a qualified physiotherapist and still work 2 days a week (except during peak wedding chaos)
4. I actually hate “running a business”, but I love bold design and aesthetically pleasing things - so here we are!
5. I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, which honestly explains a lot 😵‍💫
6. I coordinate my nails + outfits to match every event design brief 💅
7. I worked as a superyacht stewardess overseas for 5 years - this page actually started as a yacht stew tablescape inspo account 🛥️
8. I choose bars and restaurants almost entirely based on interiors + vibe (the menu is a secondary concern) 😅
9. In another life I live permanently in a hot, tropical climate surrounded by lush exotic vegetation - my obsession with these influences my floral design work a lot 🌴
10. I haven’t worn jeans in 7 years - one day I wore them for the last time and haven’t since because they make me feel claustrophobic 😵‍💫

And if you’re planning a wedding or event that deserves personality, creativity and unconventional design energy - I would love to hear from you! Enquire via the link in our bio 💌

G E O M E T R I C table play 🔴🟩🟠🟦🟡

Spheres vs squares
+
Warm vs cool tones
= a playful, bespoke table concept that I’d been dreaming up for quite some time! 👏🏽

A clever interplay of contrasting shapes, patterned textiles, tiled décor and en masse stonefruit sculptures vs singular hero pieces all came together perfectly, to create an intentionally layered aesthetic filled with bold visual tension. Refined and restrained in composition, yet every visual element combined packed some serious impact 🤌🏽

We explored 3 x colour-blocked looks across the long communal tables for Anisha & Alex’s Hindu wedding lunch:

Yellow green + red plum 🔴
Blue green + orange peach 🟠
Blue + yellow peach 🟡

Thank you again to for bringing my visual references to life through these gorgeous custom table linens, and to .the.side.studio for creating these epic tiled planter pieces 〰️ collaborating with like-minded creatives to bring cool design ideas to life is what we are all about! 🔥

And the biggest thank you of all to this epic couple for trusting my spicy design ideas and giving me the creative freedom to completely colour their day with playful, personality-filled design moments and good vibes ✌🏽

Wedding florals 𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥… ᴀs ᴇxᴏᴛɪᴄ, ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ʙᴏᴛᴀɴɪᴄᴀʟ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇs 🐠🐍💦🌴🦀🦎

For Anisha & Alex’s Hindu wedding ceremony, we designed a series of untamed floral sculptures - each one completely unique, yet all connected through the same vibrant botanical language.

Layered with colour-blocked textures, exotic ingredients, produce and tropical details, these sculptural moments worked seamlessly alongside the modern vibrancy of their mandap design 〰️ cohesive, immersive and alive with personality.

At BOUJEEHAUS, we approach florals as part of a much bigger visual world 〰️ designing not just flowers, but cohesive wedding and event atmospheres where every texture, shape, colour and detail feels intentionally connected. The result? Spaces that feel transportive, artful and completely unforgettable 🔥

Jasmin & Matt on film 📸

Why I will forever love this day so much:
🌴 The venue was the perfect blank canvas
🌴 The bride and groom were an absolute vibe (the mirror ball inspired dress? Iconic)
🌴 The florals & styling were fun, vibrant & fruity, with a splash of disco and vintage flair
🌴 Their processional song was “Love at First Sight - Kylie Minogue” (also iconic)
🌴 The vibes were off the chart this day - and .weddings captured each moment of the day in superb form 🤌🏽

A unique wedding aesthetic born from true creative collaboration - where our design world met a bride and groom who felt aligned with our creative style & shared an equally deep love and appreciation for art and all things design 💕

This hyperfruity sculpture which was cleverly designed to be viewed from ALL angles (swipe through to see) - will be a forever fave feature moment from Jasmin & Matt’s vibrant wedding day! 🌈

Composed of almost everything but the kitchen sink 〰️
Cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, pomelo, lemon, orange, lime, grapes, chilli branches + pops of zinnia, orchid stems, dahlia, torch lily AND fruity shaped candles to match the intentional tri-colour blocked look (orange/pink - yellow - green) 🧡💛💚

It brought the vibes, delivered high-impact visuals and became a major talking point among guests - which is 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 what your wedding day aesthetics should do! 👏

We are almost at full capacity for 2026 - with limited dates remaining for the second half of the year.
If you’re after a florist and stylist that designs with intention and knows how to bring the aesthetic vibes - WE ARE IT! 😎
