This month, our Al-Faisal College - Liverpool Primary SRC students had the privilege of visiting the Children’s Ward at Liverpool Hospital, where they learned about the important role of hospital schools and healthcare professionals in supporting young patients.

A highlight of the visit was presenting toys, gifts and treats to children in the ward, purchased through the generous donations of our dedicated teachers and staff. The experience was a wonderful opportunity for students to demonstrate compassion, service and community spirit while bringing smiles to children receiving medical care.

We extend our sincere thanks to Liverpool Hospital for their warm welcome and to all staff who supported this meaningful initiative. ❤️🌟

Our Primary School students were delighted to attend the NSW SES Open Day and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the many demonstrations and interactive activities.

Students were especially excited to meet the Hon. Jihad Dib MP, Minister for Emergency Services and Minister for Youth Justice; Ms Lynda Voltz MP, Member for Auburn; Ms Julia Finn MP, Member for Granville; Ms Kylie Wilkinson MP, Member for East Hills; and NSW SES Commissioner Mike Wassing.

The event provided our students with a valuable opportunity to learn more about the extraordinary work undertaken by the NSW State Emergency Service and to gain a greater appreciation of the dedication and commitment of the volunteers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

On ANZAC Day, our staff, parents and students at Al-Faisal College - Lakemba Campus proudly joined Minster Sophie Cotsis MP and the wider community for the ANZAC Day Service at the Lakemba War Memorial.

It was a respectful and meaningful commemoration and we were honoured to be part of such an important occasion, reflecting on the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who have served our nation.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Lakemba RSL Sub-Branch for their warm hospitality and for hosting the breakfast following the service.

Thank you also to our staff, students and families who joined us on the day and represented our College with dignity and pride.

Our Al-Faisal College – Lakemba Campus proudly held its ANZAC Day Commemoration Service, bringing together our students and staff in a meaningful reflection on service and sacrifice.

We were honoured to welcome Mrs Ann Garland OAM, President of the Lakemba RSL Sub-Branch, who shared powerful insights into her family’s involvement in past wars. Her address reminded us of the enduring values of courage, service, and sacrifice that continue to shape our nation.
