Igniting the Soul of the CBD & the Inner City East Additionally we volunteer as Jewish chaplains for the Corrective Services NSW.

CBDChabad Sydney was established in 2006 to serve the many needs of those that live and work in the CBD and surrounding suburbs. The organization was founded on the principles established by the Lubavitcher Rebbe of Hafotzas HaMayonos - Revealing and spreading the wellsprings of G-dliness within all of creation, and following that vision, we continue his mission to reveal G-dliness in all facets o

As we approach the end of the financial year, we wanted to share a brief update.

Traditionally this is when many charities and not-for-profits run their EOFY fundraising campaigns. This year, CBDChabad Sydney has chosen not to run a formal campaign.

Due to family medical reasons, and because our community is already being approached by many worthy causes at this time of year, we felt it was important not to add further strain.

Instead, we simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to those of you that have supported our services, shown us your friendship, given us encouragement and participated with partnership throughout the year.

Everything we do is only possible because of people like this.

We look forward to continuing to strengthen Jewish life, community, education, connection and care together in the year ahead.

One of the responsibilities of community leadership is to engage with people from different sectors, perspectives and backgrounds, and to better understand the challenges and opportunities facing our nation.

This week I had the opportunity to meet with Allegra Spender MP, the Federal Member for Wentworth.

I appreciated the open and thoughtful conversation, the willingness to listen, and the genuine care shown for the issues affecting Australians from all walks of life. Sharing a common desire to build a stronger, safer and more prosperous future for our communities and our country.

My sincere thanks to Ms Spender and her team for their time, guidance and ongoing commitment to public service.

Leadership is often measured by what happens behind the scenes, and I left with a greater appreciation for the work being done on behalf of all Australians.

I look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring how we can each play a small part in strengthening the Australia we all call home.

For most of my time in Australia, I haven’t been particularly involved in politics.

Recent events have reminded me that a healthy society depends not only on elected representatives, but on citizens who are willing to engage, listen and contribute. Even small efforts can help strengthen the communities and country we all share.

Thank you to Alex Greenwich MP and his team for a constructive and thoughtful meeting. Meaningful dialogue remains one of the most important foundations of a strong democracy like we have here in Australia.

I look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring ways we can help build a more connected, resilient and cohesive Australia.
