The inaugural Bethany Lip Sync Battle did NOT disappoint! 🔥🎤

In honour of Melba Week and house patron Dame Nellie Melba, four iconic staff acts took to the stage to battle it out for the ages.

Shoutout to My Chemical Rosemance (Ms Carruthers), Slaydog Sladen (Mrs Sladen), and Backstreet Bethany (Leadership Team) for bringing the house down. But there could only be one winner... congratulations to The Chefs (Ms Bartels and her backup dancers) for taking out the title with their epic choreography! 🏆

👣 Today, our Year 9 History students visited the Kokoda Memorial Walk in Concord, where they gained a deeper understanding of the experiences of Australians who served on the Kokoda Track during World War II.

Guided by passionate volunteers and veterans, students learned about the challenging conditions faced by Australian soldiers and the courage, resilience, and sacrifice shown throughout the Kokoda campaign. They also explored the historical significance of Papua as an Australian-administered territory and its vital role during the war.

A meaningful day of learning, reflection, and remembrance that brought history to life beyond the classroom.

🤖💻 Future engineers in the making!

Last Friday, our Year 9 and 10 iSTEM students dove headfirst into the world of electronic engineering and coding.

Working from scratch, students learned the essential skills needed to build, wire, and program a wheeled "Alarm Bot." They even got creative with Arduino coding language, customising their own unique buzzer sequences and motion paths! 🛠️⚡

A huge thank you to Project Beacon for delivering such an engaging, hands-on session. Amazing work to our future innovators! 🚀🧠

24km of kayaking. 3 days of navigating. 0 Google Maps. 🗺️❌

Our Years 10–12 students absolutely crushed their Silver Adventurous Journey from Mooney Mooney to Glenworth Valley! 🚣‍♂️🥾

Using only paper maps and compasses, they paddled, hiked, and pushed past their comfort zones. Sure, there were blisters, but there were also endless belly laughs, teamwork wins, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Silver level complete. Spirits high. Proud is an understatement!

The day's highlights included:
✨ Experiencing the world-first Sistine Chapel Exhibition: Revelations
☀️ A sunny lunch break in Hyde Park
🎨 An inspiring tour of the Art Gallery of NSW
⛪ Celebrating Mass together at St Mary’s Cathedral on the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

What a powerful witness to God’s beauty and goodness in the world! 🤍

The final round of the T2 regular season was played yesterday. Congratulations to our Intermediate Soccer, Senior Soccer, Intermediate Netball and Senior Netball on making it through to the Conference Semi Finals. The highlight of the day was our Senior Soccer team, who were playing short and within the first few minutes lost two players to injury. Despite being outnumbered they fought hard to stay in the game, thanks to the defensive organisation of Erin M and star keeper Amelia R. After going 3-1 down, Natalia B worked tirelessly to create a goal. Then with the last kick of the game, Danielle R kept her composure and put the ball in the back of the net to secure a 3-3 draw and a semi final berth. Good luck to all teams playing next week!
