MEMBER NEWS - Aus Ships Group has been awarded the contract to design and build Reef Magic IV, a new state-of-the-art passenger catamaran for leading Cairns-based marine tourism operator Reef Unlimited, part of Experience Co. Design work is now underway, with construction scheduled to commence later in 2026 and vessel delivery targeted for the last quarter of 2027.

ASMEX Delegates participated in a full-day tour hosted by Superyacht Australia and ACMG Member, Volvo Penta Oceania. The day commenced with an introduction to Volvo Group and their extensive Australian manufacturing operations, including their annual $400 million contribution to the national economy.

An in-depth tour of the Wacol factory floor covered every stage of the production line for Australian-made Volvo and Mack trucks, with the tour concluding at Volvo Penta’s new Oceania Headquarters, where presentations outlined the company’s marine and industrial divisions, as well as its subsidiary Humphree, also an ACMG Member.
