🎉 Congratulations to our public speaking finalists who did a fantastic job yesterday at the local final, which was hosted at our school. Ella, Jaeroi, Grace and Ethan all delivered high quality speeches and did an excellent job representing our school. Special shoutout to Ella and Ethan for receiving Highly Commended awards.

Denistone East Public School proudly showcased their talent and dedication at the Sydney North Public Schools Dance Festival, performing on stage alongside schools from across the region. We are incredibly proud of their efforts, dedication and the way they represented the school throughout the festival. Thank you to all of the families and friends who watched the performances.

Year 3 had an amazing excursion to Kamay Botany Bay Environmental Education Centre today! Students experienced hands-on activities, explored Aboriginal Peoples’ ongoing connection to Country, and learned about navigation, exploration, and the first British penal settlement. They examined sources and perspectives to really bring history to life in this special place.

Year 4, it’s your turn on Thursday—get ready for a fantastic day of learning and discovery!

🎶 Last night’s 2026 Mid-Year Concert was a wonderful showcase of our talented students! Junior, Senior, and Combined Strings groups, Senior Bands, and soloists and duets all performed beautifully. Congratulations to everyone involved – your hard work and dedication truly shone on stage. A big thank you to Gav at Bennelong Music and our P&C Music Coordinators for their incredible support. And thank you to our audience for your ongoing encouragement! 🎻🥁🎤

🌿 Our Growing Gardener’s group is thriving! Students are learning responsibility and plant care as they water, w**d, and nurture our garden every Monday at lunch. Students in Years 1–3 are contributing by composting ‘Crunch and Sip’ scraps to enrich the soil. Keen to join? We welcome more green thumbs! 🌱🌸

Stage 3 enjoyed a fantastic performance of Peter Pan at Riverside Girls High School yesterday. 🎭 The show was engaging, entertaining, and enjoyed by all! 😊✨ It was a great example of their outstanding HPGE drama program, showcasing the students' talent and dedication. 🌟👏
