TESTING CHANGE OF DIRECTION ⚡️

Coach Dylan is assessing Lachlan’s linear and lateral change of direction ability with the standard lane agility box test.

This is a simple and great test to assess short acceleration and deceleration in both the sagittal and frontal planes of movement. 🏃‍♂️

We tend to see most young athletes slowing down with short choppy steps and getting stuck in mud once they change directions. 🦵🏼

This shows that the athletes that do will need to build more eccentric strength and technical changes to handle big forces faster. 🦾

Once they improve their COD ability, we tend to add more reactive and angle elements to training which will become a more game like basketball environment. 🏀

Get strong, improve on your movement, then you will become faster. 📈
