The footprints of the next generation won’t just be left on Earth… they’re headed for the lunar south pole and the red dust of Mars. 🥾🔴 Here’s to our future astronauts. The countdown has already🌘
Kidzville Early Learning Centre
Kidzville ELC is a unique space that provides a holistic play-based approach to learning.
Children are empowered to grow their sense of belonging in a safe space that supports their individualities and diversity. We are not a purposed built Centre - however; our environments have been carefully arranged to maximize our learning spaces.
Garden magic is real! The kids are officially on cauliflower watch now that the first little head has appeared. 🥰🌱
Hands-on, hearts engaged, and minds wide open! ✨ Our preschoolers are doing what they do best: exploring, creating, and falling in love with the lifelong process of learning.✨
PRESCHOOL SCIENCE AT KIDZVILLE! 🔬
Our preschoolers became mini-scientists today during some exciting, hands-on STEM investigations! 🌈
🧪 Color Theory & Hypothesising
Using syringes and test glasses, the children practiced making predictions about what would happen when different shades combined. They demonstrated incredible critical thinking, even connecting the vibrant colors they created back to their prior knowledge of the solar system! 🪐
💦 Absorption & Capillary Action
Next, we explored physics and chemistry. The children watched with fascination as colored water slowly travelled upwards through the fibers of a paper towel, introducing them to the concepts of absorption and capillary action.
🧠 The Educational Benefits:
Through these interactive experiments, our preschoolers are developing vital scientific processing skills:
Formulating Hypotheses & Predicting
Active Observation & Inquiry
Connecting New Concepts to Prior Knowledge
We love fostering confident, curious, and involved learners here Kidzville ELC ❣️
Learning happens best when children take the lead! Instead of just tracing lines on a whiteboard, early literacy truly comes alive when we embrace a holistic, child-led approach. By listening to our children’s voices and letting them design their own learning environment, a simple lesson on the letter H transforms into a bustling, caring Hospital. When children choose their own setup linking head, heart, and hands they aren’t just memorizing a shape; they are building deep cognitive connections, practicing empathy, and discovering real-world meaning through collaborative play. When we truly value student voice, education becomes an unforgettable adventure—leaving us excited to see exactly where their imaginations take our next letter!
🚚🚀 From deliveries to deep space!
Today, one of our curious preschoolers used blocks to create a delivery truck, sharing ideas about how food reaches homes and supermarkets. The play then transformed into an exciting space adventure, with discussions about rockets, Mars, and the Moon!
Through imaginative play and construction, children develop creativity, problem-solving skills, communication, and early STEM thinking as they explore how the world works around them.

🖤💛❤️ National Sorry Day at Kidzville ELC ❤️💛🖤
Today, our Kidzville community observed National Sorry Day a time to acknowledge the Stolen Generations and reflect on the journey toward healing and reconciliation.
In early education, we teach the foundation of this day through age-appropriate values: kindness, belonging, and respect. Today, our little learners explored these concepts through hands-on experiences:
📖 Storytelling: Reading First Nations stories that celebrate connection to family and Country.
🌱 Caring for Country: Spending time in nature to learn how we can protect the land we play on.
🤝 Unity Art: Creating collaborative artwork to symbolise friendship and walking forward together.
Did you know? National Sorry Day (May 26th) marks the eve of National Reconciliation Week (May 27–June 3). It’s a wonderful opportunity to talk with your children tonight about how simple acts of kindness and inclusion can make our community a better place for everyone. 🧡
At Kidzville ELC, National Allergy Week helps children learn about allergy awareness, safety, inclusion, and caring for others through meaningful discussions and hands-on experiences.
We also use our KV Safety Book, which shares amazing children’s voices and perspectives around allergies and keeping their friends safe.
