We combined sustainability and creativity by making our own very own dragon boat out of recycled materials, splashed it with our lucky favourite colour, set sail on a pretend ocean adventure!

Soccer fun in Seals Room!
As part of our ongoing soccer theme, the children enjoyed making soccer-shaped butter cookies together. From mixing ingredients to shaping the cookies, everyone had a turn and worked as a team.
This hands-on experience supported fine motor skills, turn-taking, confidence, and early cooking skills, all while having lots of fun! ✨

🍣 Happy International Sushi Day! 🍱
Our little chefs Blue Whales Children had a wonderful time celebrating today! We jumped into a fun, hands-on cooking activity and made our very own delicious sushi. 👩🍳👨🍳
The children loved choosing their own ingredients and picking between crunchy carrots or creamy avocado.
Together, we made a delicious variety of sushi rolls:

Blue Whales continued learning measurements! Last week, we used rulers. This week, we used Lego bricks! Counting bricks helps preschoolers understand size, improves math skills, and builds fine motor control through hands-on play. Learning is fun!
In our childcare music class, the children have been learning and singing “Edelweiss.” Such a beautiful song and a perfect way to nurture a love of music. 🌼🎶 This is a song about loving your home, appreciating nature, and hoping that the things you care about will stay beautiful and good.
Today, the Blue Whales Preschooler children were rewarded for patiently watering our parsley. We harvested the herbs using scissors,practicing our fine motor skills. Next we washed the parsley and pattens it dry with paper towel. The children then used a food processor to chop it finely. Finally, we spread the pat onto a baking tray and placed it in the oven to dry. Everyone got very excited what will be the outcome next. environmental
We love creating opportunities for children to develop independence through everyday experiences. Today’s learning involved using tongs, peeling oranges, and cutting fruit — all wonderful ways to strengthen fine motor skills, coordination, concentration, and confidence. It’s always so special watching little learners take pride in what they can do themselves 🥹💛
