🚜🀎 **Digging into learning!**

Our Koala and Possum babies explored diggers through a small sensory play experience, using sand and dirt to scoop, dig and move around with the trucks. As the children explored, educators shared a story about different types of trucks, helping to build language and connect learning through play πŸ“šβœ¨

This hands-on experience encouraged sensory exploration, imagination, fine motor development and a growing interest in the world around them πŸŒΏπŸ’›

This week, we were lucky to have a wonderful mum from both our Nursery and Preschool rooms to visit the Dingo Preschoolers to sing songs and share music with the children! The children loved joining in, singing and learning together through this special experience! 🎡⭐️

Our Koala and Possum babies explored painting using recycled materials such as egg cartons, paper towel rolls and cardboard boxes. As they painted, the children experimented with mixing colours, making marks and exploring different textures and shapes! πŸ–ŒοΈβœ¨

A wonderful sensory experience that encouraged creativity, curiosity and early learning while giving everyday materials a new purpose! ♻️

Our toddlers loved collecting lettuce and basil from the garden to use in our cooking experience! From growing and caring for the plants to harvesting and cooking with them, all the children learning about healthy eating, sustainability and where our food comes from! πŸ’š

🚜🀎 Muddy Trucks and Messy Fun! πŸ’¦

Our babies loved exploring muddy sensory play, using trucks to scoop, dig and drive through the β€œmud!” This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, imagination and sensory exploration while strengthening fine motor skills and cause-and-effect learning 🚜

This year, we are proudly β€œAll In” at Kindaburra as we celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2026! 🌿

Across all room, the children explored this year’s theme through painting, Aboriginal symbols, music and dance, story telling, creating their own β€œAll In” hands and designing their posters to celebrate kindness, inclusion and belonging!

Through these experiences, the children have been learning about respect, community, caring for Country and the rich culture of Aboriginal peoples!

Our Koala and Possum babies have absolutely loved exploring this story throughout the month! The children engaged with the book through a hands-on felt board experience, pointing to and matching the different felt pieces as they followed along with the story πŸ“–πŸ’›

Through this interactive experience, the babies explored early language, storytelling, recognition and fine motor skills while bringing the story to life through play πŸ¦‹

This week at Kindaburra, our children will be engaging in meaningful learning experiences that help foster respect, understanding and connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives 🌿

Through stories, art, discussions and play-based experiences, we aim to create opportunities for children to learn about Australia’s shared history and the importance of caring for Country, community and each other.

πŸŒπŸ’š Koala and Possum babies exploring Earth Day! ✨

The other week, our babies celebrated Earth Day by creating their own little Earths using blue and green paper along with sticky contact paper 🌿 The children enjoyed exploring different textures and colours while engaging in a hands-on creative experience.

Through this activity, the babies explored sensory play, fine motor skills and early awareness of the world around them πŸŒŽπŸ’›
