Commemorating ANZAC Day in our Nursery room through meaningful sensory play ❤️🌺

Our youngest Champs explored remembrance by creating poppies using sensory dough and natural materials collected from our centre garden.

Hands-on experiences like these support sensory development while introducing children to the significance of ANZAC Day in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

This week at MindChamps, we took a moment to commemorate ANZAC Day through meaningful, hands-on learning. 

As part of our Gourmet Moments sensory food experiences, our Champs explored the history and significance behind ANZAC biscuits, engaging in a cooking experience that connected them to this important day of remembrance.  

Through measuring, mixing and baking, children developed practical food skills while deepening their understanding of tradition, community and gratitude.

This week, our Champs and educators came together to celebrate Songkran, the Thai New Year, through hands on sensory experiences — from nature play and water exploration to discovering Thai-inspired flavours.

Through these shared moments, children deepen their understanding of the world around them while building respect and appreciation for different cultural traditions.
