“Men over 50 shouldn’t lift weights.”

I hear this all the time.

Instead, many men stick to bands, yoga, light exercises, or endless walking because it feels safer.

The problem?

None of those things are particularly effective for building and maintaining muscle mass, strength, and bone density as you age.

Don’t get me wrong. Yoga can improve mobility and bands can be useful tools.

But neither is a replacement for proper resistance training with progressive overload.

As we get older, we naturally lose muscle, strength, balance, and physical capacity.

The solution isn’t to avoid lifting weights.

The solution is to do it intelligently.

This is Peter, 78 years old, deadlifting 87kg for reps.

He trains three times per week and continues to get stronger because he consistently challenges his muscles.

Muscle isn’t just about looking good.

💪 Muscle is strength.
💪 Muscle is independence.

they lose movement.

Years of sitting:
