Sydney Samba are a bunch of friendly folk who learn and play the vibrant, explosive & energetic rhythms for which Rio Carnival is famous. Our focus is on Brazilian community & neighbourhood percussion, with a particular emphasis on Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo Carnival rhythms. What an absolute cracking day it was in Lane Cove for Make Music Day (celebrated 1 day early)!
We were also privileged to have Jean from Sambafrog join us - the person that inspired many of the current community samba groups that exist in Sydney today!
