CONI - Italian Olympic Committee Games ๐ฎ๐น๐
The event organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation took place in Piazzale della Farnesina to celebrate the conclusion of the first phase of the Turismo delle Radici project and the launch of the CONI 2026 Trophy.
IBS students had the privilege of competing with athletes from Italy, Argentina, Brazil, the United States, Switzerland, and Venezuela, making new friends whilst visiting Romeโs unique monuments.
We recognise the extraordinary efforts of Senator Francesco Giacobbe in supporting the Italian Bilingual School alumni to represent Australia at the CONI Fair Play games in Rome, a truly incredible way to connect generations of children with Italy.
Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani presented the students with plaques as "Young Ambassadors of Sports Diplomacy."

๐ At IBS, our mensa is more than just lunchtime, itโs a moment of connection, conversation and community.
As the weather gets colder, we brought our warm Italian meals in our school, creating an extra cosy space where students can share food, laughter and time together around the table. ๐ฎ๐นโค๏ธ
In Italian culture, mensa means more than a dining hall, itโs about togetherness, and we love seeing this tradition come to life at IBS.

From sprints to long-distance runs, every student gave their best, supporting one another and celebrating each achievement along the way. Moments like these highlight the importance of physical wellbeing, perseverance and a strong sense of community.

On ANZAC Day, we paused to reflect, learn and remember. ๐บ
Our students explored the meaning of this important day through a special presentation, honouring the courage and sacrifice of the ANZACs.
With creativity and care, they also crafted beautiful poppies, a powerful symbol of remembrance, showing respect and understanding in their own unique way.
Lest we forget.

Give your child a unique start to their education!
Bilingual education develops stronger cognitive flexibility, memory and problem-solving skills from the early years. Itโs more than learning another language.
Through Italian, students connect with culture, creativity and curiosity while building strong academic foundations.
