The children have shown a strong interest in digging, building, and creating sandcastles during their play experiences. To extend this interest and provide further opportunities for exploration, we organised a trip to Bunnings to purchase bags of sand for our sensory trays.

The excursion allowed the children to be involved in a real-world experience while supporting their current interests. Back at the service, the sand was added to the sensory trays where the children enthusiastically dug, scooped, moulded, and constructed their own castles and structures.

This experience encouraged creativity, imaginative play, problem-solving, and the development of fine motor skills. It also provided opportunities for collaboration as children worked together to share ideas and create different designs using the sand.

โค๏ธOur Community Connectionsโค๏ธ

At Little Buddies, we believe that children learn best when they are connected to the world around them. Through community experiences and excursions, children have opportunities to build relationships, develop a sense of belonging, and gain a deeper understanding of their local environment.

Our Community Display showcases the wonderful places, people, and experiences that help enrich children's learning beyond our service. We are always looking for new and exciting ways to strengthen our community connections and would love your support!

Do you know of a special place that our children may enjoy learning about or visiting? We would greatly appreciate your ideas and suggestions.

Next time you are in the service, please take a moment to add your thoughts and input to our Community Display. Your contributions help us create meaningful learning experiences and strengthen the connections between our children, families, and the wider community.

Thank you for being a valued part of our Little Buddies community. We look forward to hearing your ideas!

During Reconciliation Week, we embraced this year's theme, "All In" by coming together to reflect on how we can create a more inclusive and culturally responsive environment for all.

Throughout the week, the Kindys and Miss Tae participated in meaningful learning experiences and yarning sessions, sharing ideas about what being "All In" means to them. By listening to children's voices and involving them in the planning process, we worked together to develop a plan that promotes respect, inclusion, and a deeper understanding not only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures but all Cultures

This experience reminded us that reconciliation is not just something we acknowledge for one week of the year, it is an ongoing commitment. Together, we are striving to be consistent in our actions, ensuring that cultural learning, inclusion, and respect remain embedded in our everyday practices throughout the year.

This version keeps the focus on children's participation, yarning, inclusion, and the importance of maintaining the commitment beyond Reconciliation Week.

We also welcome parent input, inviting families to share ideas on how we can meaningfully include and celebrate their childrenโ€™s cultures, please leave a comment, message or come in for chat with us to share your ideas, all is welcome.
