The FIFA World Cup excitement has reached Little Scribblers Caringbah! βš½πŸŽ‰

With plenty of laughs, team pride and friendly competition, our educators had a fantastic time celebrating together.

While the world comes together through sport, we’re reminded of the importance of teamwork, connection and having fun, values we encourage every day at Little Scribblers. πŸ’›

Our Caringbah team enjoyed celebrating Donut Day on 6 June with some delicious Krispy Kreme Doughnuts / and a variety of party snacks πŸ©πŸŽ‰

It was a lovely opportunity to come together, share a few laughs, and enjoy some well-deserved treats. We are so grateful for the dedication, care, and passion our educators bring to Little Scribblers each and every day.

Sometimes it’s the simple moments that make the best memories πŸ’›

Today our Kindergarten Children celebrated Vegemite Day by making their own Vegemite toasties alongside their educators. The children enjoyed exploring different ways to enjoy Vegemite, including with butter and cream cheese, while practising independence and building confidence in the kitchen.

Learning experiences like these encourage children to explore new tastes, follow simple instructions and engage in meaningful conversations with their peers.

What a fun and delicious day! ❀️

Thank you VEGEMITE β€οΈπŸ™ŒπŸ½

Did you know that play develops in stages as children grow?

From playing independently to working together with friends, each stage of play helps children build important skills for life. Through play, children learn how to communicate, solve problems, share ideas, develop friendships and gain confidence in themselves.

Every stage has a purpose, and every child will move through these stages at their own pace. By understanding the five stages of play, we can better support children’s social, emotional and cognitive development while celebrating the unique ways they learn and grow.

Our children recently visited their local Return and Earn station to recycle the bottles and cans they have been collecting. Along the way, they practised counting, sorting and teamwork while learning how recycling helps care for our environment. 🌏

It’s wonderful to see our little learners discovering that even small actions can make a big difference. πŸ’š

At Little Scribblers Brighton, First Nations learning is embedded throughout our program, not just celebrated on special occasions.

The children explored Aboriginal symbols through storytelling and art while practising their cutting, gluing, and drawing skills. They also worked together to create the Aboriginal Flag and learnt about the meaning behind its colours.

Through experiences like these, children develop respect, understanding, and appreciation for Aboriginal culture while building important developmental skills.

As part of our Transition to School Program, the children from Little Scribblers Belmore were excited to visit our local school, St Therese Primary School 🌟

The adventure began with a lively walk to the school, where the children eagerly chatted about what they thought they might see and do. Once there, they enjoyed a wonderful story time followed by a creative arts and crafts experience.

On the walk back to the service, the children reflected on their visit, sharing their favourite parts of the day and talking about what they are looking forward to when they start school.

Experiences like these help children build confidence, familiarity, and excitement about the transition to primary school while strengthening connections within their local community πŸ’›
