FREE Grade 4 Australian History, Geography & Civics Sample Lessons 🇦🇺
One thing I’ve noticed again and again is how hard it can be to find Australian history and geography curriculum that's purposefully created for homeschoolers — something simple, beautiful, open-and-go, and aligned to the Australian Curriculum.
So, I’ve created this Grade 4 Australian History, Geography & Civics unit and I'm offering 2 lessons as a freebie to help fill that gap.
It’s designed to make Australian learning feel rich, interesting and engaging, with beautiful imagery, clear lessons, hands-on tasks and student-friendly pages that don’t feel dry or overwhelming.
This unit gently walks children through Australia’s story in a balanced and thoughtful way — not ignoring the hard parts, but also not reducing our history to one narrow perspective. It encourages children to think, discuss, compare, question and understand that history often includes different experiences, voices and viewpoints.
Perfect for homeschool families wanting something that feels:
✨ Australian Curriculum v9 aligned
✨ Easy to use
✨ Beautiful and engaging
✨ Age-appropriate
✨ Balanced and thoughtful
✨ Created with homeschool life in mind
I hope it blesses your homeschool and makes teaching Australian history, geography and civics feel just that little bit easier.
Follow me to keep up to date with my One A Day Curriculum releases. Grade 4 full curriculum set to be available for purchase by the end of next week and Grades 5-10 being released over the next few months! Everything you need - Open & Go - Full Australian Curriculum Aligned - Created for homeschooling families, by a homeschooling family!

The Calm Mum’s Guide to Starting Homeschooling — Happy Days Homeschooling
The Calm Mum’s Guide to Starting Homeschooling 17 June Starting homeschooling can feel like standing at the bottom of a mountain with a backpack full of forms, curriculum tabs, half-sharpened pencils, and one child asking for a snack before you’ve even begun. Deep breath. Homeschooling doesn’t...

A little something different today. 🌿
While most of what I share is homeschooling, I know many of our families are also navigating pregnancy, newborn life, toddlers, multiple children, sleepless nights, and everything in between.
Homeschooling doesn't happen in a vacuum. It happens in real homes with babies of all ages.
This little guide is simply a humble collection of things I have learnt over the years — through each newborn stage with my four children, and from other mums who kindly shared their wisdom with me along the way.
I am not a medical professional at all, and this is not medical advice. It is just a few gentle hints, practical ideas and personal notes from one mum to another.
No judgement or pressure.
No perfect-mum expectations.
Just the kind of advice you might share over a cup of tea with a tired new mum who needs a little encouragement.
Whether you're expecting your first baby, welcoming another little one into your family, or trying to homeschool while surviving the newborn fog, I hope this blesses you and reminds you that you're not alone. 💛
Motherhood is hard work.
Homeschooling is hard work.
And you're doing better than you think. Reach out to your doctor if you're experiencing unwelcome postnatal thoughts.
Share this with an expecting mum or a new mum who might enjoy this. 🌸
