🏫 A Melbourne Private Girls Grammar School Scholarship — 50% Tuition from Year 4 to Year 12!

We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news from one of our Clever Fox families.

A student who completed our Summer Writing Intensive after finishing Grade 2 has just been awarded a scholarship to a prestigious Melbourne private girls grammar school — covering 50% of her tuition fees from Year 4 all the way through to Year 12.

Her mum wrote to us to say she is certain the writing program contributed significantly to her daughter's success — and that her daughter still uses the Clever Fox method in her persuasive writing at school today.

This is also our second scholarship to this particular school — the first was awarded in 2023.

Stories like this are why we do what we do. A seven-year-old girl, fresh out of Grade 2, building the writing skills that would open a door like this. That is the power of strong writing.

🏆 NATIONAL WRITING CHAMPION — CONGRATULATIONS, SHIVAANSH!

We are beyond proud to announce that Shivaansh, one of our Year 6 Clever Fox students, has been named the 2026 Young Voices Awards Junior Writing Winner — a national competition spanning Catholic schools across Australia. 🦊✨

The Young Voices Awards invites students from Years 5 and 6 to respond to a thought-provoking annual theme through writing, photography, or digital media. This year's theme was "To Go Boldly: The Path of Faith and Justice" — and Shivaansh rose to that challenge beautifully, earning 1st Place in the Junior Writing Category from entrants across the entire country.

This is no small feat. Writing at this level demands technical skill, yes — but also creativity, critical thinking, and the courage to communicate something meaningful. Shivaansh brought all of that and more.

We are so incredibly proud of you, Shivaansh. This is a well-deserved national title, and just the beginning. 🌟

This week I received the loveliest message from a parent of one of my Year 3 students who recently joined the Clever Fox program. With his permission, I'm sharing it because it captures the heart of what we do here:

Since founding Clever Fox in 2015, 90% of our students have gained entry to selective high schools, achieved Distinctions/High Distinctions in ICAS, top bands in NAPLAN and secured more than $ 6 million in scholarships. We achieve this by building genuine writing skills — vocabulary, original figurative language, varied sentence structures, persuasive techniques, and the confidence that comes from real understanding. When students develop a genuine passion for writing, the results follow naturally.

One of our bright Year 2 students recently completed a persuasive writing assessment at one of Sydney’s top private schools, with just 5 minutes to plan and 30 minutes to write.

She produced a well-structured essay with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion, supported by thoughtful ideas and strong reasoning. It’s incredibly rewarding to see our students confidently applying the techniques and skills developed in our classes.

Her teacher noted that with continued focus on expanding vocabulary and incorporating more varied sentence structures, her writing is well on its way to being at the very top of her grade.
