Last week, UTS hosted one of the first conversations in the Net Zero Future series bringing together leaders to explore the critical role nature plays in achieving climate goals.
Discussions highlighted that:
π Nature is essential climate infrastructure and critical to achieving net zero
π First Nations knowledge is essential - participants acknowledged the value of First Nations knowledge, Country and nature itself as important yet often overlooked.
π The transition to net zero requires systems change, from workforce capability to institutional reform.

Following the passing of its architect, Michael Dysart, we reflect on his lasting impact on Building 1.
People tend to love or hate Brutalist architecture, but The Tower has helped shape the universityβs identity for almost half a century and remains an integral part of how our campus works, evolves and is used by the UTS community today.

UTS has reached its highest-ever global ranking, placing 87th in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2027 π
Out of more than 8,800 institutions assessed across 106 countries, UTS is ranked among the world's top 100 universities.

UTS has been recognised as the 7th best university in Australia and 85th in the world in the US News and World Report Best Global Universities 2026β27 Rankings π
