Over the past two weeks, our Year 5 Stand Up Project (SUP) Leaders have been teaching our Year 2 and 3 students about bullying and how to be positive upstanders.
Students learnt what bullying is, what to do if they are being bullied, and how to respond as an upstander if they see someone else being bullied.
There are four ways to be an upstander:
• Delegate – get help from a trusted adult
• Direct – speak up and support the person being bullied
• Delay – check in with them afterwards
• Distract – redirect the situation to interrupt the bullying
We are incredibly proud of our SUP Leaders, who worked hard to plan and deliver these lessons. They demonstrated excellent leadership and role-modelled positive behaviours while supporting their younger peers.

What a fantastic Year 6 Gala Day last week.
We are incredibly proud of all our students for representing Riverwalk Primary School with outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day.
Congratulations to our A Teams in Hockey, Teeball and Girls Basketball, who were successful in winning their Werribee District competitions and will now progress to the Division Finals.
Well done to all students for their efforts and the way they represented our school. We wish our teams all the best for the next stage of competition.

Yesterday, a group of our Year 5/6 students attended an exciting learning experience at GMHBA Stadium.
Students participated in a range of dynamic scientific experiments and activities, using problem-solving, statistical analysis and observation skills to explore the science and mathematics behind football. They also learned about career pathways in sport and the important role that health, wellbeing and physical activity play in leading a healthy lifestyle.
We are incredibly proud of our students, who represented Riverwalk Primary School with excellence throughout the day. Their attitude, behaviour and engagement were outstanding, with event organisers taking the time to comment on how respectful and well-behaved our students were.
Well done to all students who attended!
