The Schools Pillar of the National Financial Literacy Programme; i.e. the FLITE Schools Programme began in 2023 as a pilot across 13 Barbadian public schools and has rapidly expanded its reach to all of the island’s public primary and secondary schools, as well as 3 tertiary institutions and 4 special education schools.

FLITE’s mission is fulfilled through its comprehensive curricula, toolkit and workbooks.

Delivery is undertaken by NFLP’s team of over 30 trained and experienced facilitators, under the leadership of Programme Coordinator, Mr. Corey Worrell.

PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK

Financial Futures Forum is an initiative of the Prime Minister’s Office.

NFLP collaborated with the Office of the Special Advisor on Poverty Alleviation to deliver the 3rd cohort of the programme. We also had individuals from the One Family Programme and Welfare Department participating.

Financial Futures Forum is designed to help individuals build the skills, confidence, and mindsets needed to take control of their financial future. The programme combines interactive financial education workshops, one-on-one financial coaching, and holistic support to help participants.
From learning how to budget, save, manage debt, and make informed financial decisions, to setting personal financial goals and exploring opportunities for income generation, participants are equipped with practical tools for lasting change.

Here’s some feedback one participant felt compelled to share with our National Coordinator.
