Jobs and Scholarships – Geospatial Research Institute Toi Hangarau Up to an additional $4,000 per year is available from the GRI for travel or other research related expenses (over three years full-time, or pro-rata for part-time study, subject to support from the senior PhD supervisor and approval of the GRI Director).

On April 3, 2019, the QMH Statistics Club began its journey with a dream — to create a space where students can learn, explore, and grow through statistics. Today, 7 years later, that dream continues to live on through every event, every initiative, and every member who has been part of this family.

From our very first steps to organizing events like competitions, workshops, and StatFest — this journey has been built on passion, dedication, and teamwork. We remember with deep respect our founding convenor, Dr. Taslim Sazzad Mallick Sir, whose vision still guides us today. 🤍

Presentation Rules & Guidelines:

✅ Any member of the team can present — not everyone is required to.
⏱️ Each team will get 5 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for the question-answer session.
💾 The presentation slides must be submitted in to the Executive Committee members by 11:50 AM (10 minutes before 12).
📊 The presentation slide deck must not exceed 12 slides in total.

🔷Rules for the Programming Contest:
• Participants can take part individually or in a team of up to 3 members.
• A participant cannot register for both contests; they must select either R or Python.
• Internet access will not be allowed during the competition.
The evaluation will be based on accuracy, efficiency, coding style, and interpretability of the solution.

Here’s your chance to communicate complex ideas clearly, concisely, and powerfully! 💡
Are you ready to prove your ability of excellence?💫

🎤 Event Highlights:
🔥 Exclusive for alumni of the Department of Statistics, Dhaka University
- Present your own thesis or research
- Use slides
- No props, no music, no electronic media are allowed during presentation

✒️ Evaluation Criteria:
❄️Comprehension: How clearly the research idea is explained.
❄️Engagement: How well the audience is captivated.
❄️Communication: How effectively complex concepts are conveyed within the time limit.

Presentation Duration: 3 minutes
Exceeding the 3 minutes limit will result in disqualification❌️
