This should be a great fun (and learning) course.

North South University’s Department of English and Modern Languages is excited to offer its Certificate Course in Creative Writing, beginning in Summer 2026—a seven-week intensive program designed for beginners and emerging writers who want structured, mentor-led guidance in writing fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction.

Developed and taught by DEML faculty alongside renowned guest writers from the Bangladeshi literary community, the course encourages participants to draw meaningfully from personal, social, and communal experiences, with a special focus on Bangladesh’s cultural, social, and historical contexts. It offers a supportive space to explore craft, develop an authentic voice, and engage with the country’s rich literary landscape.

Enrollment is open from June 02 to June 21, 2026.
Open to both NSU and non-NSU participants—apply by scanning the QR code on the official course poster to access the application details.
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate recognizing their creative development.

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to begin (or return to) your writing journey, this is your sign. Let your stories take shape with us!
