Today, we introduce one of the most remarkable characters in the Arabic language: **Dhaad (ض)**, often called **“The Deep Anchor.”**

So unique is this letter that Arabic is proudly known as **“Lughat adh-Dhaad” (The Language of Dhaad)** because its distinctive sound is found only in Arabic. 🌍✨

🔹 **Character Persona: The Deep Anchor**

🔹 **Pronunciation (Makhraj):**
The sound is produced by pressing one or both sides of the tongue firmly against the upper molars (back teeth).

🔹 **Special Power – Istitalah (Elongation):**
Dhaad possesses a unique quality called *Istitalah*, which gives it a heavy, extended sound. Imagine a powerful anchor sinking deep into the ocean—the sound of Dhaad travels smoothly along the side of the tongue before being released.

🔹 Pronunciation (Makhraj): Produced from the tip of the tongue placed tightly against the inner surface of the lower front teeth.

🔹 Superpower (Isti'la & Itbaq): Its superpower is its massive, heavy tone (Tafkheem). When you pronounce Saad, the back of your tongue rises and traps the sound against the roof of your mouth, making it sound thick and full—just like a solid shield!
