Sydney International School (SIS) uses the Cambridge curriculum blended with an Australian activity-based and child-centred learning system. We are committed to providing quality education through a world-renowned curriculum, with a blend of Bangladeshi customs and culture. SIS is a co-educational and diverse institution founded in 2012, the school ranges from playgroup to A’ level. Our school campus is located at Gulshan 2 in the diplomatic area of Dhaka.

𝐉𝐎𝐁 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒:
• Teach English Language and Literature to primary and lower secondary students with an emphasis on developing language skills, critical thinking, and creativity.
• Facilitate the teaching of other subjects (e.g., Science, Social Studies, Math) which are taught in English, ensuring clarity and comprehension for both local and international students.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that caters to the needs of diverse learners, including international students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
• Encourage active participation and engagement in classroom activities.
• Assess and track student progress through assignments, tests, and interactive evaluations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to ensure the highest teaching standards.

𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒:
• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). A background of O/A levels will be an additional qualification.
• Teaching certification and accreditation. CIE-trained teachers will have extra preferences.
• Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
• Previous experience teaching primary-level students is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a multicultural classroom with international students.
• Proficiency in English.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and a passion for student success.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
• Additional certifications or training in teaching (e.g., PGCE, TESOL, TEFL) will be an advantage.
• Experience in teaching international curricula or working with diverse student groups.

𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Teaching certification or professional training in Mathematics Education.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Cambridge or international school setting.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire students to develop confidence and excellence in Mathematics.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and educational excellence.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
• Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) training or certification.
• PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., or other relevant professional qualifications.
• Familiarity with inquiry-based, student-centred, and differentiated teaching approaches.
• Experience integrating educational technology into Mathematics instruction.
