Today, the Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation (HEAT) Project team met with Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN) at BdREN’s office in Navana HR Tower-2, Niketan.
The meeting agenda covered updates on BdREN’s packages with the HEAT Project as well as discussions on the joint hosting of APAN61.

Where Ideas Come Alive – BdREN Powers Robotronics Fest 2025!

The Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, University of Dhaka, has kicked off the Robotronics Fest with incredible energy and innovation!

BdREN is proud to be the technical partner, with the event running on our state-of-the-art Data Center — powering creativity, research, and technology at its best!

On the sidelines of APAN60, a Special Interest Group (SIG) session was chaired by the CEO, BdREN Mohammad Tawrit, titled: "Emerging NRENs: Flagship Achievements, Future Plans, and Enhancement of Collaborations."

Representatives from emerging NRENs, including BdREN (Bangladesh), NREN (NEPAL), DrukREN (Bhutan), PERN (Pakistan), ErdemNet (Mongolia) and LEARN (Sri Lanka), shared their initiatives, progress, and challenges as developing research and education networks.
BdREN’s Network Engineer Md. Nafew presented an in-house developed AI Mail Witcher, showcasing BdREN’s innovations in AI-driven solutions for institutional communication.

Previously yesterday , on the sidelines of APAN60, Prof. SMA Faiz, Chairperson of BdREN, and Dr. Mohammad Farooq Ali Tarafder, FCMA, ACS, CAFO, BdREN attended the 18th Asia@Connect Governors’ Meeting, reinforcing Bangladesh’s active role in the Asia-Pacific’s premier NREN governance body.

With APAN60 kicked off today in Hong Kong, CEO, BdREN Mohammad Tawrit chaired one of the Special Intrerest Group (SIG) titled "Internet Governance" at the openning day, with five panelists. The panelists included one each from BdREN, PERN, NREN, LEARN, KISTI and CERNET.
