A Grand Farewell Ceremony Organised by ACC to Bid Associate Professor Mahbuba Begum
Adamjee Cantonment College organised a grand farewell ceremony to honour Associate Professor Mahbuba Begum on the occasion of her retirement, marking the conclusion of a long, distinguished, and exemplary career spanning more than 12 years at the institution. Throughout her tenure, she served with unwavering commitment, professional dedication, and exceptional sincerity, earning the respect, admiration, and affection of colleagues, students, and the entire college community.
Speaking on the occasion, Associate Professor Md. Abul Khair fondly reminisced about her remarkable service and highlighted her significant contributions to maintaining academic excellence and fostering a positive educational environment. He praised her integrity, diligence, and tireless efforts in shaping the lives of countless students while contributing immensely to the growth and reputation of the institution. In her farewell remarks, Associate Professor Mahbuba Begum expressed heartfelt gratitude to the college authorities, fellow colleagues, and students for their continuous support, cooperation, and affection throughout her career. ACC Bids Farewell to HSC Batch 2026
Adamjee Cantonment College (ACC) solemnly organised a Grand Farewell for the students of HSC Examination-2026 on the college premises on 16 June 2026. Students from Science (Bangla and English Versions), Business Studies (Bangla and English Versions), and Humanities participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
On this auspicious event, the students arrived on campus in colourful attire marking the final day of their college life and adding another cherished chapter to their memories. The day brought a sense of nostalgia to students, teachers, and staff as they recalled their memorable moments at ACC—classroom activities, time spent in the library, gatherings around Rumi Mancha, sports events in break, club sessions, hustle in the canteen and experiments in laboratory sessions.
The programme commenced with heartfelt expressions and nostalgic reflections. A letter of address on behalf of the college was read out by the Central College Prefect, Khalid Bin Walid. On behalf of the outgoing students, Mahdir Al Ferdous from Science, Labiba Mamun Afra from Business Studies, Afif Bin Ahmad from Humanities, and Central College Prefect Mahnaz Khan also shared their memorable experiences about college life. A special prayer was offered seeking the Almighty’s blessings for the successful completion of the HSC Examination with excellent results.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Special Guest, Sharmin Sultana, who enjoyed the programme and inspired the students with her encouraging words and best wishes for their success in the HSC Examination-2026.
College Principal, Brigadier General Md Shahan Sadi, ndc, psc, MPhil, attended the programme as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised the importance of making the best use of the remaining time before the examination and maintaining good health. He also gave advice pertaining to examination management, including reaching the examination hall in time, refraining from adopting any unfair means or prohibited materials, maintaining proper discipline in the examination hall, and showing due respect to the invigilators.
The programme concluded with a mesmerizing cultural performance hosted by the members of ACC Cultural Club and Kothashilpa Club.

Achievers' Award Giving Ceremony–2026 Arranged by ACC
Adamjee Cantonment College organised the Achievers' Award Giving Ceremony–2026 to honour the students of the session 2023–2024 for their remarkable achievements in securing admission to various renowned universities across the country. This year marked a record-breaking success, with an unprecedented number of students gaining admission to prestigious higher educational institutions, reflecting the college's continued excellence in academic performance. During the programme, several achievers shared their inspiring journeys, highlighting their dedication, perseverance, and strategies for success. A mesmerizing cultural segment, arranged by the Cultural Club of ACC, added colour and vibrance to the occasion and captivated the audience.
The programme was graced by the respected Principal of Adamjee Cantonment College, Brigadier General Md Shahan Sadi, ndc, psc, MPhil, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he warmly congratulated the achievers and encouraged them to uphold their legacy of excellence in higher education as well and contribute meaningfully to society. Workshop on Quality Education-2026 for Teachers Held at ACC
Adamjee Cantonment College (ACC) organised a day-long training session titled Workshop on Quality Education-2026 (1st Phase) at the college auditorium on 13 June 2026. With a strong commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to ensure quality education, ACC regularly arranges such training sessions for both newly recruited and in-service teachers. A total of 121 teachers from different disciplines participated in the workshop with great enthusiasm.
The training sessions covered the fundamentals and advanced aspects of Creative Question (CQ) formulation, Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) preparation, and their evaluation techniques. In addition, another session was conducted on Cyber Security and the effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in classroom teaching. Teachers from all departments actively participated in discussions, interactive activities, and collaborative sessions, which culminated in valuable insights and a shared commitment to enhancing teaching excellence.
The sessions were expertly conducted by the master trainers, Associate Professor Dr. Md. Abu Salek, Head of the Department of Chemistry; Naushin Pervin, Assistant Professor of Economics; and Md Sirajul Islam Raju, Lecturer in ICT.
The programme was graced throughout by the presence of the College Principal, Brigadier General Md Shahan Sadi, ndc, psc, MPhil. In his address, he remarked that teachers are the best guides for students. A skilled and well-trained teacher can nurture competent learners and shape future generations. Such professional training enables teachers to achieve educational objectives more effectively and contribute meaningfully to students’ development. He also urged the teachers to continually empower themselves through professional training so that they can better groom and guide their students.
The participants highly appreciated the day-long workshop, which enriched their professional knowledge, strengthened their pedagogical skills, and inspired them to contribute more effectively to achieving the intended learning outcomes and ensuring quality education.

The Initiation Programme organised by the Girl Guides Club of ACC
The Initiation Programme organised by the Girl Guides Club of Adamjee Cantonment College was held with the aim of guiding and preparing adolescent girls to cope effectively with the challenges of adolescence and to develop essential life skills. The programme provided valuable insights into personal growth, leadership, responsibility, and self-confidence among young girls.

Foundation Laid for different development projects at ACC:
College Principal, Brigadier General Md Shahan Sadi, ndc, psc, MPhil, inaugurated the construction work of the College Multipurpose Hall, a two-storeyed College Cafeteria with modern facilities (including Barber Shop, Laundry, Tailor Shop, Stationary Store, Photo Studio and dormitory for Staffs), Swimming Pool and Vertical Extension for additional four Class Room to accommodate 400 additional Students on 8 June 2026.
This initiative reflects Adamjee Cantonment College's continued commitment to enhancing its infrastructure and creating a more supportive environment for students, teachers, and staffs.
A foundation-laying ceremony was held on 08 June at the project site at and commenced with a special Dua seeking blessings for the successful completion of the project. Students from HSC, Honours, Masters and BBA, faculty, and staffs were present on the auspicious moment.
Upon completion, the project is expected to enrich campus life by providing modern facilities and services that support the academic, recreational, and daily needs of the college.

A Grand Weekly Assembly Held by ACC
A grand weekly assembly was held at Adamjee Cantonment College on 7 June 2026 on the college premises. Addressing the students, the Principal of the college, Brig Gen Md Shahan Sadi, ndc, psc, MPhil encouraged all students to resume their academic activities with renewed dedication following the long Eid-ul-Azha vacation. He emphasized the importance of taking thorough preparation for the upcoming Annual Examination and advised students to utilize their time effectively.
The Principal also motivated the students to remain focused on their goals, aspirations, and future prospects, highlighting that discipline, hard work, and perseverance are essential for achieving success in both academic and personal life. He thanked all teachers, students and members of the college in achieving the highest number of trophies including the prestigious CAS Trophy and inspired them to continue with the same spirit.

Excellence of ACCQC in Quiz Competition
ACC Quiz Club (ACCQC) achieved remarkable success at the 2nd DUOS International Quiz Fest 2026, held on April 3, 2026, at the TSC Auditorium of the University of Dhaka.
The Adamjeans Quiz Team participated in the Inter-College Quiz and War-Quest events and secured championship titles along with multiple awards in various segments of the competition. These outstanding accomplishments reflected the club’s academic excellence, dedication, and competitive spirit.
The event was graced by Professor Dr. A B. M. Obaidul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, who distributed prizes among the winners.

A Tree Plantation Programme Inaugurated by Respected Principal of ACC
Adamjee Cantonment College organised a tree plantation programme on the premises of the Masters Building with the inspiring slogan “One Student, One Tree'' to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to contribute to a greener and healthier future. The programme emphasised the vital importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, reducing pollution, preventing climate change, and creating a sustainable environment for future generations.
Respected Principal Brig Gen Md Shahan Sadi, ndc, psc, MPhil, inaugurated the programme. He encouraged students to actively participate in environmental conservation activities and described tree plantation as a noble initiative for the welfare of humanity. The Vice Principal, respected teachers, and students of Honours, Masters, and BBA programmes were present at the event and enthusiastically participated in event. The programme created a sense of environmental responsibility among the students and reflected the institution’s commitment to building a green, beautiful, and eco-friendly campus.

A Grand Assembly Held by ACC!
Adamjee Cantonment College held a grand assembly. During the assembly session, the respected Principal, Brig Gen Md Shahan Sadi, ndc, psc, MPhil, read out the class test -3 result and expressed his heartfelt congratulations to all the toppers for their outstanding academic performance. He highly appreciated the students’ dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence, encouraging them to continue striving for greater success in the future.
As a token of recognition and inspiration, the Principal handed over college crests among the meritorious students (Toppers) in the presence of teachers and fellow learners. He awarded crests to Md Shafayet Biswas, Sabit Islam Efty, and Md Imteaz Islam Reham, the brightest stars of ACCSC, who participated as “Team C.A.R.E” in the “Innovation & Invention Senior Category” at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards 2025, also known as the “ICT Oscars of Asia,” held in Taiwan. They brought great pride by securing sixth place at the international level. Additionally, Md Imteaz Islam Reham were awarded college crest for securing the first place in ‘International Innovation and Science Fair (IISF) -2026 and becoming champion in the science based quiz competition. Sabit Islam Efty was also honoured for becoming Runner-up in ‘Project Display’. The grand assembly created an atmosphere of pride, motivation, and academic enthusiasm across the college campus.
