We are pleased to share that faculty members from the Center for Language and Cultural Studies (CLCS), Green University of Bangladesh participated in the Two-Day International Conference on “Environmental Humanities: A Multidisciplinary Dialogue on Ecological Agency and Crisis”, organized by the Department of English, Women’s Christian College, Kolkata, India (Hybrid Mode).

Heartfelt congratulations to Sumaiya Afreen (Assistant Professor, CLCS) for presenting her paper titled “Echoes of Colonial Ravenousness: Killers of the Flower Moon and the Spectrum of Global Human Rights Violations.”

Congratulations as well to Rabbi Islam Rasel (Assistant Professor, CLCS), Md. Jahid Hasan (Lecturer, CLCS) and Tabassum Aktar ( Lecturer, CLCS) , for their online presentation titled “Decolonial Pathways in Environmental Ethics through Lalon’s Spiritual Ecology.”

Such international academic engagement reflects the ongoing research excellence and global scholarly presence of CLCS!!

The Center for Language and Cultural Studies (CLCS) successfully organized the Certificate Distribution and Prize Giving Ceremony for Mother Language Fest 2026 today, 28 April 2026. The event honored the participants for their dedicated efforts.

We were deeply honored to have our honourable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin as our Chief Guest and our respected Dean (Faculty of Arts and Social Science) Professor Dr. M. Shahidullah as our Special Guest. The session was gracefully chaired by Dr. Serajum Munira, Director of CLCS, whose guidance contributed to the smooth and successful ex*****on of the program.

Congratulations to all the awardees for celebrating our language and culture with such passion and dedication!
