RoboSUST Mythical Month officially entered its Advanced Training Phase with the first two sessions of LFR Development.
After the Orientation Programme, Lab Tour and Evaluation Phase, participants finally started the part everyone was waiting for: working on their own Line Following Robots. For many this was their first experience directly handling the hardware and systems behind functional robotics projects.
Over the first two sessions participants explored the foundations of robotics, learning about Arduino, power management, robot chassis design, motors, motor drivers, servo control and onboard displays.
One of the highlights of these sessions was seeing everyone come together as teams. Participants met their teammates and mentors, laying the foundation for the collaborative work that will continue throughout the training phase.
There is still a long way to go but the journey is well underway. Over the coming sessions these teams will gradually transform individual components into fully functional Line Following Robots before taking them to the track at RoboSUST's signature competition, Auto Grand Prix.
A warm and promising start to the Advanced Training Phase. We are excited to see how each team grows and what they create in the weeks ahead.

RoboSUST Mythical Month entered its next phase with the Orientation Programme on 13 June 2026.
Every journey starts somewhere and for our newest members this was their first glimpse into the world of RoboSUST. Our people, our projects and the spirit behind everything we do.
The session began with a warm welcome followed by a brief look back at RoboSUST’s journey and how the club has grown over the years. Our President, Niloy Sarker, opened the ceremony by sharing the club’s vision and the possibilities that lie ahead for the new members.
We were honoured to have Lecturer Md. Tasfiq Rahman from the Department of EEE and Lecturer Irfan Nafiz Shahan from the Department of EEE who also served as the Director of Robotics of the 8th EC, with us. They shared their thoughts and insights with our new members. Our former EC members, Pramit Dey (General Secretary, 7th EC) and Nainaiu Rakhaine (President, 8th EC) also joined the session, shared their experiences and encouraged the newcomers.
The programme continued with a fun quiz session and an interactive Q&A. We also arranged an Idea Competition giving the newcomers a chance to share their creative ideas followed by a prize giving segment for the winners.
To wrap up the day we had our member project showcase where everyone got a closer look at some of RoboSUST’s ongoing and exciting works.
This year we introduced projects like Blind Assistance, Aletra, EquiTEA, Chem-E-Car, CNC Laser Engraver, Portable Solar Cold Storage, FPV Drone, SignTalk, a Breast Cancer Screening Device and a Secure Wireless Surveillance System developed in collaboration with Bangladesh Ansar. These projects covered areas such as assistive technology, healthcare technology, emergency safety, IoT, machine learning, blockchain, chemical innovation, automation, renewable energy, drone technology and smart surveillance systems.
The programme ended on a warm note with words from our General Secretary, Nusrat Jahan Urmi, followed by a group photo session with our EC team and the newly welcomed members.
It was a wonderful start with fresh faces and lots of energy. We are truly excited to welcome our new general members and begin another journey of learning and growing together.
Welcome to RoboSUST. The journey has just begun!

RoboAdda just wrapped up!
We had an amazing session where our EC members: Nabil, Nujhat, Safu, Imteaz, Mouri, Rifat and our President, Niloy Sarker shared their research work, ongoing projects and past experiences. It was honestly great to see our members working in so many different directions.
What made it even more special was the open sharing of ideas, experiences and ongoing work. It really felt like everyone brought something unique to the table.
We got to know each other's work a bit more deeply and also discovered how different paths can still connect in interesting ways.
A nice reminder that beyond individual projects, there's a lot of value in simply coming together, sharing what we're doing and realizing how much we can grow just by talking and listening as a community.

Maybe you’ve seen RoboSUST around and wondered what goes on behind the scenes. So here we are bringing you Robo Adda, our very own casual online hangout where we talk about everything: life updates, random ideas, jokes, memories and maybe a little robotics too (no pressure though!)
It'll be full of stories, laughter, fresh ideas and warm catch-ups with the community. So if you're curious about what we do, want to hear about our projects, research experiences, what our members are working on lately and get to know us a bit better, come join us. We’d love to hear your stories and ideas and have a nice conversation.

Eid-ul-Adha is not only a festival, but also a reminder that the deepest form of love is knowing when to let go.
May this Eid bring us back to the people, the mornings and the memories that make us feel most at home. May Allah accept all our sacrifices - big and small, known and unknown.
Eid Mubarak 🌙🕊️

Congratulations to Irfan Nafiz Shahan, former Director of Robotics of RoboSUST 8th EC, on joining the Department of EEE at SUST as a Lecturer!
Irfan has always been someone passionate about learning and sharing knowledge. His sincerity, guidance, ideas and the effort he put into making RoboSUST a better place for students who want to learn robotics have inspired and helped many throughout the years. His contributions have played an important role in shaping the supportive and passionate community RoboSUST has today.
Seeing one of our own become a faculty member at SUST is something that genuinely makes us proud and happy.
Wishing him all the best for this new journey. We know he will continue to inspire many more students just as he inspired the people around him at RoboSUST.
