University is exciting. It can also be really hard.

New environment, academic pressure, moments where you just don't know who to turn to. That's exactly why Dora and Stephanie are here as our Well-being & Inclusion Ambassadors: a first point of contact for anyone who needs support, a conversation, or simply someone who listens.

You don't have to figure it all out alone. 💙

Not every lesson takes place in a classroom.

Sometimes it happens while exploring the skyline of Shanghai. Sometimes during conversations with innovators shaping the future. And sometimes while reflecting on a week filled with new ideas, cultures, and perspectives.

Last week, UBI Business School proudly hosted students from Nebrija Business & Technology School and UBI Business School for the Shanghai Immersion Programme 2026 — experiencing first-hand how China has transformed itself into a global innovation powerhouse in just a few decades.

Through company visits, academic sessions, and direct exposure to the industries defining tomorrow, students witnessed first-hand how innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology are reshaping global business — not in the abstract, but up close.

As they receive their certificates, they take home more than memories. They take home sharper questions, new reference points, and a clearer sense of the opportunities and trade-offs that will define the next decade of business.

Thank you to all students, faculty, and partners who made this experience possible.

Here’s to learning without borders. 🌍✨

How do you move from being “the world’s factory” to leading the industries of the next decade?

This week, our students are exploring exactly that — on the ground in Shanghai.

We’re proud to welcome a delegation of MBA and Master’s students for the Shanghai Immersion Programme 2026, hosted at the UBI Shanghai campus in collaboration with Nebrija Business & Technology School.

The programme opened with academic sessions on the comprehensive history and development of modern China, examining the country’s economic transformation, its policy evolution, and the forces behind its remarkable growth.

But this immersion goes well beyond the classroom. The goal is to read that strategy up close — and to ask the questions that matter: what’s driving the innovation, where the real competitive edge lies, and what trade-offs come with moving this fast. From there, students moved to the frontier.

The programme has already included visits to 🚗 NIO and 🤖 iFLYTEK, where students gained first-hand insight into electric mobility, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and the speech technologies shaping the future of business and communication.

Two schools, one cohort — a cross-border network forming in real time. This immersion reflects our commitment to combining academic excellence, industry engagement, and global perspectives to prepare future leaders for an increasingly interconnected world.

Stay tuned for more highlights from Shanghai!

We're live in Singapore! 🇸🇬

The 5th edition of the EAE — UBI Global Executive MBA Singapore Residential Programme is officially underway — and it's anything but a typical study week.

MBA participants from EAE Business School are immersed in an intensive journey of executive learning, leadership dialogue, and global business exposure in one of Asia's most dynamic hubs.

We opened with powerful perspectives on Singapore's transformation — exploring leadership, governance, finance, innovation, and business agility with Peh Shing Huei and Kenny Ng

Day 2 kept the momentum strong:
✦ Leanne Robers on women in technology, entrepreneurship, and inclusive innovation
✦ Associate Professor Jared Nai navigating negotiations through an East–West lens

From nation-building to tech disruption and cross-cultural negotiation — the first two days have already set a compelling tone for the week ahead.

Proud to be organising this programme alongside EAE Business School since 2022. Thank you to our speakers, partners, and participants for the energy and engagement you bring to every session.

International management education is about more than strategy, finance, or AI — it's about people. 👥

Last week, we had the honour of hosting Mr. Mohsin Saifullah, First Secretary & Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels, for a guest lecture on "The Human Side of Diplomacy: Thriving Across Cultures in a Multinational World."

The message? Technical skills get you in the room. Human skills keep you there.

Key takeaways from the session:
→ 90% of diplomatic success is built on empathy, cultural intelligence & grit
→ Cultural Intelligence (CQ) means adapting across contexts and hearing what isn't being said
→ Your network is your net worth. Build real relationships before you ever need a favour

Thank you, Mohsin, for such an insightful, and inspiring session. Our students left with much more than notes.

Sustainable finance is reshaping how we think about risk, capital, and long-term value, but spotting real impact vs greenwashing takes critical thinking.

At UBI Business School, we welcomed Müge Afacan Ural for a session on Ethics in Sustainable Finance. With experience advising governments, financial institutions, and the World Bank Group, Müge shared practical insights our students will carry forward.

Key takeaways:
→ Ethics isn’t optional – it’s the foundation
→ How to spot and prevent greenwashing
→ Using integrity to drive impact and performance
A powerful reminder that finance can be a catalyst for real change.

💬 What role should ethics play in financial products?

🌍 UBI students take action!

What if one of today’s biggest sustainability challenges was also a business opportunity? 💡

🎤 We’re passing the mic to Miguel Errasti (BSc) and his team (Alexandr Bazarov, BSc, and Joost Innig, BSc) – winners of the Innovation Bootcamp 2026.

With their project “BrightFuture Homes”, they’re tackling the urgent issue of energy‑inefficient buildings and rising energy costs impacting households that need support the most ⚡🏠

This is what the next generation of leaders looks like: problem‑solvers driving real impact.

▶️ Watch the reel and tell us: How would YOU tackle this challenge?
