You don’t need a big CSR programme to make a difference.

Sometimes it’s as simple as:
one engineer visiting a classroom
one employee sharing their experience
one mentor
one hour

The challenge isn’t always willingness, it’s knowing where to start.
👉 That’s exactly what we’ll explore on 9 July.

Join EU Code Week for The EU’s Digital Talent: From Inspiration to Opportunity and discover practical ways companies can support future digital talent through mentoring, volunteering and local collaboration ahead of Code Week 2026.

Whether you’re already engaged or just looking for a starting point, this session will give you concrete ideas to take action.

Because investing in talent doesn’t always start with budgets.
Sometimes it starts with people.

Electrification is not only a technology challenge. It is a people and skills challenge.

On 25 June, Diana Filip, JA Europe Deputy CEO and Chief Development Officer, will join London Climate Action Week for the panel “People and Skills for Electrification: Building the Workforce for a Just Transition”, hosted by our partner Schneider Electric.

The conversation will explore how education, business and policy can work together to prepare young people and workers for the green and digital jobs needed to scale electrification.

We are especially pleased to join this conversation alongside Gilles Vermot Desroches, Chief Corporate Citizenship Officer at Schneider Electric and JA Europe Board Member, María Mendiluce CEO at We Mean Business Coalition, and moderator Sophie Lambin, Founder and CEO at Kite Insights.

Because a just transition is only possible when people have the skills, confidence and opportunities to be part of it.

JA Europe is proud to share that Mei Li Powell, CEO of the Euroclear Foundation, will be an official speaker at the EESC - European Economic and Social Committee public hearing on "Volunteering for European Population Preparedness".

📅 24 June 2026 | 10:00–13:00 CET

📍 EESC, VMA 23, Brussels & online

Mei Li will bring a private sector perspective to the discussion, drawing on Euroclear's experience in employee engagement and mentoring, and on a partnership with real scale behind it.

Building on 11 years of collaboration, the Euroclear Foundation and JA Europe recently extended their work together through a new multi-year strategic partnership, aiming to reach 20,000 underserved young people across 14 countries including Belgium, China, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and United States over the next three academic years.

Euroclear employees support the initiative directly through mentoring and skills-based volunteering, giving young people practical insight into the world of work and helping them build confidence, employability, and career readiness. The Foundation is also backing a new financial literacy and business planning module for JA Boost, JA’s AI-powered learning companion, set to roll out across JA’s network in over 54 countries.

As Mei Li put it: "Strong societies are built long before a crisis occurs. Through our partnership with Junior Achievement, Euroclear volunteers help young people develop practical skills such as financial literacy, employability and entrepreneurship capabilities that underpin resilience throughout life. It is a powerful example of how corporate volunteering, enabled by trusted non-profit partners, can contribute to population preparedness and stronger communities.”
