Our Grade 11 students are getting a true taste of university life at Ontario Tech University! From staying in residence and experiencing campus life to exploring cutting-edge research facilities, it has been an exciting and educational adventure.
Students toured the ACE (Automotive Centre of Excellence) facilities, including the impressive climate-controlled testing chambers. One highlight was the hemi-anechoic chamber, where even a scream sounds like a whisper! They also took part in an engaging session, Aliens: The Search for New Earths and Extraterrestrial Life, sparking curiosity about the possibilities beyond our planet. The learning continues over the next two days with hands-on experiences in sailboat building and wind tunnel racing, forensic science investigations, and skull classification activities.
What an incredible opportunity to explore science, innovation, and university life firsthand!

Our Grade 5 students recently dove into an unforgettable underwater adventure with the ! As part of their learning, students geared up for a snorkeling expedition where they explored Bermuda’s beautiful marine environment firsthand. With guidance from experts, they observed a variety of fish species in their natural habitat, paying close attention to something very specific: the different shapes of fish mouths and how each one helps them feed and survive.
The excitement, curiosity, and discovery throughout the day made this trip truly special, as students experienced science beyond the classroom in a meaningful and memorable way.

Today we celebrate National Heroes Day. National Heroes Day is a public holiday in Bermuda, observed each year on the third Monday in June. It’s a time to recognize and honour individuals who have made outstanding, positive contributions to Bermudian society and have been officially named National Heroes. As we reflect on their legacy and the impact they’ve had on our island, let’s also take a moment to appreciate the values they represent, leadership, courage, and service to others.
We hope you enjoy a relaxing and meaningful holiday.

Our Grade 2 students and their teachers had an exciting visit to the Portuguese tall ship Sagres this afternoon! During the visit, students enjoyed a short and fascinating history lesson about the ship, learning about its origins and how it operates, before getting the chance to explore it up close.
The students were full of curiosity, asking plenty of great questions that the sailors were happy to answer. They explored different areas of the ship and discovered what life on board is like. It was a unique and memorable experience for everyone, and we extend our sincere thanks to the sailors for this wonderful opportunity!
Did you know? The deck of the ship is slightly slanted on one side to help water drain off the vessel!
