Celebrating 11 Years of Education Through Sailing! 🎉

We're proud to celebrate 11 years of Endeavour's STEAM Education through Sailing Programme. During the 2025–2026 school year, 515 students and 105 teachers from 15 schools engaged in hands-on learning beyond the classroom and explored Bermuda’s beautiful waters, transforming the ocean into a dynamic learning environment. 🌊☀️

We concluded the school year on a high note with incredible students and teachers from Saltus Grammar School, whose positive energy made for unforgettable experiences filled with hands-on learning and exciting ocean adventures. 😎 ⛵

Students explored real-world STEAM concepts including sailing geometry, buoyancy, wind power, ocean conservation, and Bermuda’s maritime heritage. Along the way, they also enhanced essential life skills such as confidence, teamwork, resilience, critical thinking, and problem-solving. 💨 📐🎯

We continue to be inspired by the curiosity, courage, and enthusiasm that every young person brings to Endeavour. 😍 You are the reason we love what we do and your passion reminds us why our work matters. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated educators who champion experiential learning and support their students every step of the way. Your commitment creates meaningful and lasting impact, and we are grateful for your partnership. 🤩

We also extend our deepest appreciation to our valued partners, donors, and supporters, including our lead founding partner, Orbis Investments. Your generosity helps us expand opportunities, inspire future leaders, and create brighter futures for young people throughout Bermuda. 🙌

Together, we are empowering the next generation to learn, explore, and thrive. 💙

Happy World Oceans Day! 💙 🌊

Today, we celebrate the ocean that connects us all, supporting life on Earth, inspiring adventure, and sustaining communities around the world. ✨

At Endeavour, we see firsthand the importance of healthy oceans. Through marine conservation, environmental stewardship, and hands-on learning we empower young people to become informed leaders and healthy ocean ambassadors. 🌎

This World Oceans Day, we invite you to join us in taking action:

🔹 Reduce your environmental footprint
🔹 Refuse single-use plastics
🔹 Help protect our coastlines and marine ecosystems
🔹 Be a champion for the ocean

Over the past 11 years, thousands of students, teachers, volunteers, partners, and supporters have joined Endeavour in removing marine debris from beaches and coastal areas throughout Bermuda. 🌊

Together, we've made a meaningful difference and every piece of debris collected represents a step toward healthier oceans for future generations. 🤩

💦 Why the Ocean Matters:

🌎 Covers more than 70% of our planet
💨 Produces approximately 50% of the oxygen we breathe
🐟 Provides food and livelihoods for more than 1 billion people
🌱 Absorbs nearly 30% of human-produced CO₂ emissions
🐠 Supports an incredible diversity of marine life

Yet our oceans face growing challenges, including plastic pollution, overfishing, habitat destruction, and coral reef decline. 🚨

But there is hope. 💙

When communities come together, small actions create big impact. Whether it's joining a beach cleanup, refusing a plastic straw, recycling responsibly, or inspiring others to take action, every effort helps protect our ocean. 🙌 ♻️

The ocean gives us so much. Today and every day let's protect what we love and inspire others to do the same. 💙

Endeavour is deeply saddened by the passing of Sir John Swan, a National Hero, visionary leader, passionate advocate for Bermuda, and a true champion of community. 💙

From the very beginning, Sir John believed in the power of Endeavour to transform young lives through experiential learning, sailing, and STEAM education. He strongly believed in bringing young people from all backgrounds together and in creating opportunities that inspire confidence, connection, and possibility. ✨

Alongside Sir Russell Coutts, he served as an Honorary Co-Chair of Endeavour, generously lending his leadership, encouragement, and steadfast commitment to our mission. Sir John’s support of Endeavour reflected his lifelong commitment to Bermuda and its people. He understood that strong communities are built by investing in future generations and creating pathways for young people to discover their potential. 🇧🇲

We were honoured to have him join us at the opening of Endeavour’s West Fort facility in Dockyard in 2016. His presence reflected his belief that empowering Bermuda’s youth is one of the most meaningful legacies a community can leave behind. Today, that legacy continues through the thousands of young people throughout Bermuda who benefit from Endeavour’s programmes. 💙

On behalf of our staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, supporters, and the many young people whose lives have been positively impacted by Endeavour, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Sir John’s family and loved ones. 🕊️

We are profoundly grateful for his support and encouragement. We will always remember his warmth, his enduring belief in Bermuda’s potential, and his commitment to helping young people thrive. 🙏

Fair winds and following seas, Sir John. 💙
