RCGI-USP was pleased to welcome Franziska Giffey, Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises of Berlin, together with the SenWEB delegation, for a visit to the University of São Paulo.

The visit provided an opportunity to present RCGI’s research infrastructure, ongoing projects and innovation initiatives supporting the energy transition, decarbonisation and sustainable development. Discussions focused on the importance of international collaboration in advancing scientific research, promoting innovation and developing solutions to global energy and climate challenges.

The meeting also strengthened the relationship between Brazilian and German institutions, fostering dialogue on opportunities for future cooperation in research, technology development, sustainability and public policy. Such exchanges are vital to building strong international partnerships and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The visit provided an opportunity to present RCGI’s research infrastructure, ongoing projects and innovation initiatives focused on the energy transition, sustainability and technological development. Discussions also highlighted the role of science, research and collaboration in addressing some of today’s most pressing challenges.
