I was introduced to the game of golf in my 20’s by Andrew & Kerry Bowe. Both Kerry and Andrew were avid golfers and took me whenever they went to play.

I started off just driving the golf cart, but once I learned the fundamentals of the game through their teachings, they couldn’t get me off the golf course. It is through their introduction to the game of golf that had a substantial impact on my life. Andrew encouraged me to never stop learning and insisted I study the Practical and Theory of golf. What ever you give, it all comes back to you.... When Jr Golfers from our Cable Beach Golf Course Jr Program receive University scholarships, return home to run one of the top golf properties in the country and run your golf fundraisers, it gives you a great feeling.

Congratulations to 2025 recipient of the Andrew and Kerry Bowe Memorial Scholarship Ms. Cydney Turnquest. Cydney made the Deans List and achieved a 3.51 GPA at Hofstra University.

Our 2026 Independence Gala Speaker is Mr Travon Brice.
He is a former recipient of the Nelson A. Ranger Scholarship Fund Scholarship.

Bio: Travon Brice is an entrepreneur, business strategist, and data-driven leader originally from Exuma, Bahamas, whose journey is a testament to the transformative power of education, faith, and perseverance. With a passion for empowering others and creating meaningful impact, Travon has dedicated his career to helping individuals, organizations, and small businesses turn vision into sustainable success.
Travon earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Central State University before graduating with distinction from Saint Leo University, where he obtained his MBA in Data Analytics with an outstanding 3.98 GPA. His academic excellence and leadership led to membership in multiple honor societies, including Alpha Kappa Mu, Delta Mu Delta, and the National Association of Black Accountants.
Professionally, Travon has built a diverse background spanning finance, analytics, higher education administration, research, and business development. He has served in leadership and analytical roles with Saint Leo University, Tampa Bay Chamber, Central State University, and organizations in both the United States and The Bahamas, developing expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, operational management, and data visualization.
