ANOTHER DAY and ANOTHER DRUM ROLL!
Congratulations to BTVI Electrical Installation adjunct instructor, Mac Lightbourne, on being named one of Professional Services Bahamas 40 Under 40 awardees!
For more than two years, Mr. Lightbourne has shared his expertise with BTVI students, teaching Electrical Installation I and II, as well as professional development courses in the electrical field. His selection is no doubt a testament of his contributions to technical education, industry certifications, leadership of complex power utility grid initiatives and research efforts supporting energy reform in The Bahamas.
An Electrical Engineer by trade and the System Planning and Operations Director at Grand Bahama Power Company, Mr. Lightbourne is committed to developing the nation's technical workforce and empowering future professionals through education.
"It is an honour to share my knowledge in my home country. I strongly believe in giving back and my proudest accomplishment is doing my part to help strengthen the nation's technical abilities," said Mr. Lightbourne.
The BTVI Team - particularly the crew in Grand Bahama - is proud to celebrate this outstanding achievement and thank Mr. Lightbourne for his dedication to advancing technical and vocational education in The Bahamas.
