International Day of Play 2026
Theme: โProtect Play, Protect Childhood.โ
The International Day of Play 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm under the theme โProtect Play, Protect Childhood.โ The day highlighted the importance of play in every childโs growth and well-being. Various fun-filled activities were organized, including an energetic Zumba dance session and exciting basketball matches between teachers and students, promoting teamwork, fitness, and joyful interaction. The celebration brought smiles, laughter, and strengthened the spirit of friendship and togetherness among all participants. ๐๐๐๐

On 5th June 2026, World Environment Day was observed under the theme:
โA GLOBAL CALL FOR CLIMATE ACTIONโ
The programme was organized by the UNESCO Club with the objective of raising awareness about environmental conservation and promoting collective action against climate change.
As part of the celebration, members of the UNESCO Club delivered speeches highlighting the importance of protecting the environment and preserving natural resources. The club members also read out their environmental pledges, demonstrating their commitment towards sustainable living.
A unique and engaging activity was conducted where students and teachers wrote their own environmental pledges on sticky notes. These pledges were displayed on a board for the day, creating an inspiring visual reminder of everyoneโs responsibility towards safeguarding the planet. The activity generated great interest and enthusiastic participation from both students and staff.
The observance successfully encouraged environmental awareness and reinforced the importance of individual and collective actions in building a greener and more sustainable future โจ๐

RELIGIOUS DISCOURSE PROGRAM
Held on 26th May 2026 at TMSS
On 26th May 2026, Tsimalakha Middle Secondary School (TMSS) had the great privilege of hosting Lam Naten for a religious discourse conducted for the staff and students in the school tent at 3:00 PM.
The program began with a warm welcome and offering of prayers. Lam Naten delivered a meaningful and inspiring discourse focusing on the importance of kindness, respect, discipline, positive thinking, and leading a meaningful life. The teachings encouraged students and staff to cultivate good values, compassion, and mindfulness in their daily lives.
The discourse created a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere, and everyone present received valuable guidance and blessings. The school administration, staff, and students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Lam Naten for graciously accepting the invitation and sharing the sacred teachings with the school community.

WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY 2026
Tsimalakha Middle Secondary School observed Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 under the global theme โTogether for a .โ The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness on menstrual hygiene management, promoting healthy practices, and fostering a safe and supportive school environment for all students.
The programme included awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene, personal cleanliness, and the importance of breaking the stigma associated with menstruation. Students and teachers actively participated in the programme, reflecting their commitment towards promoting health, dignity, and wellbeing within the school community.
The school administration would like to extend heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Madam Dawa Dema, staff of Tsimalakha Middle Secondary School, Mr. Kencho Tshering of Tsimasham Shop, and the gents teachers of the school for their generous sanitary pad donations and valuable contributions made to the School Health Committee for emergency pad use by students whenever required. Their kind support and concern towards student welfare and wellbeing are highly appreciated.
The programme concluded successfully with active participation from students and staff, contributing towards greater awareness, confidence, and the promotion of a period-friendly school environment.
