This week, we had the pleasure of listening to Jigmee P. and Jigten O. from Grade 4 play the school song on piano. They were guided and mentored by Keekar D. from Grade 5 through the Music Club sessions over the past few weeks. Their performance reflected the dedication and effort they have put into learning the piece. ๐ŸŽนโœจ๐Ÿ’™

The school would like to acknowledge the dedicated service of the Physical Education trainee teachers from Paro College of Education; Miss Kinley Pelden, Miss Tandin Bidha, and Sir Kuenga Tenzin. During their two month placement at Yoezerling, they took charge of Physical Education classes and actively engaged students through a variety of sports activities, age appropriate exercises, and games that supported their physical growth and development.

In addition to their teaching responsibilities, they also extended great support to the faculty during Sports Day by coordinating activities, preparing sports equipment, and ensuring the safety and smooth conduct of races and events.

A special note of appreciation goes to Sir Kuenga Tenzin for his humble dedication in guiding students through aerobics sessions, serving as the basketball referee during the recent tournament, and contributing to the Scout Uplift Programme by staying after school to support the faculty and students.

Yoezerling would like to sincerely thank all three trainee teachers for the love, care, dedication, and support they have shown throughout their stay. We wish them every success in their future endeavours and look forward to seeing them around and visiting the school again in the future. ๐Ÿฉตโœจ

During the morning work cycle, children aged 3โ€“4 years independently choose materials according to their interests and developmental needs. They work with concentration and repeat activities as desired. The teacher carefully observes each child and presents new exercises individually once the child has gained confidence and mastery with the previous materials.

Celebrating our Annual Sports Day on this auspicious May 2nd, marking the Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the Father of Modern Education in Bhutan, made the day even more meaningful. It was a reminder that learning goes beyond the classroom, and that sports play a vital role in shaping confidence, teamwork, and resilience in our young learners.

We were deeply honored to have Dasho Drangpoen Tenzin as our esteemed Chief Guest. His encouraging words and continued support for our children truly inspired us all, even as we carried on through the gentle drizzle.

The day was filled with energy, joy, and togetherness, making it yet another successful celebration. Our heartfelt thanks to all the children and their families for participating and for the love and kindness shared throughout the event.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ…

Today, senior students from grade IV-VI explored science beyond the classroom through hands-on experiments based on their interests, including volcano eruptions, hydroelectricity, magnetic force, and recycling projects. They took turns presenting their projects, and though it was a first-time experience for some, they demonstrated growing confidence while sharing their ideas and findings.

These meaningful experiments helped them connect theory with real-life applications while developing research skills, communication, and critical thinking. This learning approach promotes creativity, collaboration, and deeper understanding of science. Hereโ€™s a glimpse of their experiments. ๐ŸŒ‹๐ŸŒโ™ป๏ธ

This week, the school conducted an earthquake mock drill where students practiced โ€˜duck, cover, and holdโ€™. Junior students followed the seniorsโ€™ lead and safely evacuated to the designated area. The drill helps prepare them for unexpected situations, teaching them to stay calm and respond appropriately. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธโ›‘๏ธโœจ
