A professional development session was conducted for staff members, focusing on strengthening school-based support systems and safeguarding practices. The programme covered key areas including Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), School Discipline Policy, parent and community engagement, mentor-mentee guidelines, counselling, the Child Care and Protection Act, the Child Safeguarding Framework, the Penal Code of Bhutan, science of addiction, su***de prevention, NDPSSA, and strategies for helping adolescents thrive. The session reinforced our shared commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and child-friendly learning environment for all students.

Earthquake Mock Drill and Fire Safety Awareness Program.

Today, the school conducted a surprise earthquake mock drill to assess and strengthen emergency preparedness among students and staff. Following the drill, officials from the Royal Bhutan Police, Phuentsholing, conducted an informative fire safety awareness program, providing detailed explanations on fire hazards and demonstrating the proper use of different types of fire extinguishers based on the nature of the fire.
The session offered valuable practical knowledge and reinforced the importance of preparedness, safety, and timely response during emergencies. We extend our sincere gratitude to the officials for their informative and engaging presentation.

In commemoration of the Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, and in observance of Social Forestry Day, the Y-VIA members conducted a tree plantation program at Rinchending Goenpa. The initiative was carried out to honor His Majesty’s visionary leadership in environmental conservation and to promote the importance of preserving and protecting our natural environment for future generations.

Today, our school was honored by the visit of the Dasho SP of the Royal Bhutan Police, Phuentsholing, who conducted an insightful awareness session on drug abuse, emphasizing the importance of protecting our youth from its harmful impacts.
The program also witnessed the awarding of prizes to the winners of the essay competition organized under the School-Based Drug Awareness Program on the theme “Protecting Youth from Drugs”, initiated by the Narcotic Drugs and Other Vices Division in collaboration with our school.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Royal Bhutan Police and organizer for their continued commitment towards building a safe, healthy, and drug-free future for our students.
